A bit of dick waving, season ticket sales?

I can't wait for the meltdown on the Fishy when we take 782 to Blundell Park.
If we finish in the bottom half of the table, it will all be worth it if Lincoln bring less than 1000 to us.

On the moon
You watch, us and them will play the same time as Derby and Forest play like we did the other season.

A nice 1-0 at the sheep dip again would do nicely :)

Seems we've had to cap ST sales with only 560 spaces left, presumably because having the away fans in the SW loses us around 2,000 seats and severely limits pay on the day sales.

As it stands, it's about 8,000 seats for home fans and when you factor in the ST sales and JIC that leaves about 1,500 for pay on the day.

This is wise and it was a problem we may have been close to having ourselves a few years back. If 6,000 people are paying for example £12 per game on average, less are paying at a higher rate on a matchday, so you'll lose revenue.

Yeah, presumably that's why we've put pay on the day prices up by £2 to £20 (or £18 in advance) to try and negate it slightly (and knowing we'll actually get more than 70 away fans this season). We rent out catering space in the Stadium at 'x' per person in attendance per game so the increase in crowds will help slightly there as well, but as you say, we'll lose a bit in that respect.

Hopefully it'll be all the add-ons such as programmes, merchandise etc that helps.

Can't you put up a temporary stand next to that little bizarre stand in the middle of the pitch?

There's some space there? would make sense. Or would the cost/extra policing not make it worth it? (kinda guessing so)

More to do with facilities and access I think. That's the food/toilet/entrance/exit areas for that side of the ground. I'm not sure it's something that's ever been seriously considered beyond just common sense telling you it'd be difficult to do.

Probably not feasible from a £ point of view either, and we'll not be getting 8,000 home fans every game anyway.

Fair play, I know we're having some pre-season bantz about Cowley and some of you (Impish) have gone a bit mental, but it's a cracking effort from Lincoln.

I'd be happy if I were replacing someone like North Ferriby with someone like Mansfield, County or Chesterfield though. Hadn't heard of some of the sides in the conference last season!

We came up at the right time, Grimsby away at North Ferriby would have been absolute carnage.

We had a great record against them! Think we hit about 27 goals past them in 8 games or something. Still didn't beat them every time though, mind.

Not far off though SOC, 31 goals in 8 games, won 7 drew 1.

5-2, 5-2, 2-0, 4-2, 3-1, 3-3, 7-0, 2-0 and in that 3-3 draw we were ahead 3 times.

Alfreton and Woking rolling over for us every game are the only things I miss about non league, v Woking it is won 8 drew 1 lol.

Indeed we are bound to have lower ticket sales on matchday with having a maximum of 2400 tickets available for home fans for when small travelling support comes and only 1000 when the local derbies are played. As Luke says with around 6000 home fans in we are bound to sell more programmes etc, I'll be buying them again hardly bothered during the non league as they were really poor compared to the ones we produced in the league.
We've taken getting on for 1.5 million in from season ticket sales plus all the money we earned last season think we'll be ok.

Any update on Grimsby's sales? Hopefully they can push on. Would love to see both Lincolnshire clubs with full stadiums this coming season, good for the area.

You've got it us, We seemingly roll over everytime we visit BP. In my time we've not been too great at Field Mill against you either.

We are hoping to target around 2500 this season which is just a few more than the 2440 entire attendance for Lincoln City v Southport last season.
I guess the extra 4 - 5000 fans currently supporting Lincoln must've all had a headache that day?

Yeah we always seem to do you at BP but I can remember you beating us at yours a couple of times recently though, your title winning season 2-0 and I can remember losing 2-1 after being 1-0 up at half time but I think both of our teams were dogturd that season.

From (sketchy memory), our last 8 meetings have been 7-2, 1-0, 1-2, 1-1, 4-1, 0-2, 1-0 and 3-0. So 5 wins to us, 2 to you and a draw. You've definitely conceded a lot of goals at BP. Can't see it being the same this season.

Strangely enough, that Mansfield team made the POs that season!

Went to said Southport game...
Went to all but one of our home games last season.
Has been said by many Lincoln fans but we did used to get around 5000 before around a decade ago, as to where all the extra fans came from in the second half who knows, some returned a lot of my mates did who've hardly bothered since we got relegated ( don't them frankly for not going it was utter shite most weeks!) Some like me have started their kids (my daughter's 3rd season she went to 19 home games plus the trips to Ipswich and Arsenal).
Our crowds went from 3420 for the first half of the season to 7442 for the second half.
Lincoln has grown a lot in the last few years, maybe the people who've moved wanted to watch a winning team?
People going regularly to watch a team that won 13 out of it's last 15 home games who'd have thunk it...

Good stuff, it's good that the club have put an achievable target in place. Hopefully the town can rally round and you can get over the line. Plenty of time left for sales. Like I say it would be good to see both clubs with good attendances throughout next season.

So how many sold so far?

Currently just under 8000 so we are now having to cut the Osmond allocation to away fans so we can sell some more season tickets in there. #massive

I'd forgot about that season. The only 2 wins I could remember were the 2-0 in 2013 and I think we once beat you 3-0 in the JPT/LDV/Checkatwat/Frieght Rover game in my time going. That 0-0 at BP the season after the 7-2 was the worst game of football I've ever been at. Miss the Conference..

As previously covererd, our season ticket sales don't really fluctuate too wildly. The litmus test for Lincoln will be when their performances drop off and whether or not these new season ticket holders renew. This will be the first season in my life that Lincoln will have a larger home average than us, so enjoy it lads.

You had a larger home average than us last season yes, but that would have been down to much larger away followings from Pompey, Donny, Plymouth etc. We had Tranmere, 7-800 I think, then it was around 200 with Maidstone I believe. The rest wouldn't have added up to much so in theory we will have more home fans than you two seasons running (hopefully). We will enjoy it thanks.

I doubt we will get 5300+ ST sales next season unless we have an amazing 9/10 months.
