Thing is, spammy adverts like those won't attract anyone to frequent the forum regularly. I believe that is the worry, TB. No one minds the Asda, Tesco, y'know company adverts, but the sensationalised 'WHAT THIS WOMAN FOUND WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE, SHE LOST 7,000,000,000,000 POUNDS IN 3 DAYS!!!! DOCTORS HATE HER!' ones will more likely drive people away than actually attract them to post.

Yeah as I said in my PM normal adverts don't bother me at all and I can see why they are needed but the other adverts put the site in a bad light to new users in my opinion. I'll come on regardless of course.

I'm getting the same mate, definitely not intentional and I'll have it fixed in no time.

Getting this viagra advert which features a picture of a bleeding penis. Not an issue for me on my laptop which has Adblock but in my mobile it's always there and is so disturbing to look at.

I've got some betting England fan nonsense now. Could I have it replaced with a rotting penis please?

Don't worry, Lib, most go away once you've posted enough.

Your English has certainly improved in the short time you've been on here, fair play.

I'm having issues with the clickbait adverts at the bottom of the page on the mobile site. Under the quick reply box, I now get a set of the ads, then the forum links, then more ads (the same ones again). Makes it a pain to find the links when they used to just be at the bottom of the page.

I've been using the site logged out, on my phone and I really don't see the issue (Although I would say that, I get it).. you scroll a couple of inches further down the page passed an Ad, or download Ad-blocker on whatever device you are using - it's available on all formats of technology these days. (Phones, Ipads, tablets - ALL internet browsers).

I totally understand why people don't like them or find them offensive, we have no control on the type of ads that are displayed on the forum, they are controlled by a third party who use them selectively themselves.

Unfortunately, adverts pay the bills so they won't be going anywhere. It's just one of those things I'm afraid. Adblocker is a very good service if it's a case of 'I'll be leaving unless they go'.

Hope that helps.

Not all browsers actually, certainly not on Windows mobile. I guess that if you're used to using a certain browser (IE/Edge on my last two phones) you're reluctant using an inferior browser (such as Opera mini) to access this forum without ads.

If I was relying on people paying to support the forum, I certainly wouldn't be advocating adblockers. However, as it costs peanuts to became a site supporter, I don't get why every regular hasn't signed up.

The full screen pop up ones are extremely annoying. Certainly makes the site not suitable for work.
