The full screen pop up ones are extremely annoying. Certainly makes the site not suitable for work.

This should only show once in any 24 hour period- has it exceeded this in your experience?

Any particular reason why the f word now automatically changes to SHAG?

Pathetic. Bunch of shaggers.

It is less now I have 50. But still lots of ads.

And I am not sure the forum knows I have 50 ?

My post on censorship was censored.

Very interesting.

I appreciate that the website needs to make some money to help facilitate the upkeep costs of the forum. However, some of the adverts really hamper the overall performance.

For example, I sometimes find myself refreshing the site, because it won't load entirely in the first place. It's no big deal. Once I hit refresh everything loads. I imagine it could get tedious in time mind.

Whenever I click anything on the site, I get a popup ad and (even when I hold command to open it in a new tab) the new page opens on the page I clicked on it from.

SFL reported this, try downloading adblocker to your phone, or clearing the cache and going again.

If the problem persists let me know.

I'm getting redirects when I visit from my phone. Is this an advertising thing, or is there something nasty lurking in the background?

There's something nasty I think. I kept getting the pop ups too yesterday before I installed ad blocker. Spyware was showing too not long after, and the only sites I'd visited were my email, BBC Sport, Twitter and Youtube, and I highly doubt its from there (fresh install of Windows too). Supporters shouldn't be getting them at all, regardless, but there we are.

Seems like somehow, the advert settings are changing without our knowledge, something that will have to be solved.

Out of interest, what phone, browser, settings etc are you using when getting that? Have you clicked on any articles on Facebook that load with an ad that has to be closed? Or youtube? Or in fact any page that opens with ads on.

Ad blocker is available on 90% of phones/tablets/devices these days I think, so I'd imagine that will help.

Windows 10. Firefox. No I hadn't clicked any links on anything that has ads on. The ad-blocker has stopped it, but it is definitely something worth looking at, as a lot of people don't use an adblocker and would be severely turned off by random pop ups (I know I would if I were a new visitor).

Also, as stated, we shouldn't be seeing these as premium members regardless.

Not being funny, so please don't take it in that tone, as I'm not being funny even remotely, I understand your frustration, paid for a service etc - sorry about that - But these aren't appearing through our fault or actions, or purposefully, I know as little about these as you do.

The settings or the company directly dealing with our ads are perhaps putting sneaky/naughty ads in place that they shouldn't be and are possibly breaking the deal we agreed with them, something that's a bit of a problem as this is happening on more than one occasion now. It seems like quite an isolated event too, with certain phone browsers. I have no ad blocker on my phone, I login numerous times per day and I've never seen it before, neither have any of the mods bar Tom/SFL and I've loaded from numerous locations/IP's/browsers/incognito to try and check it out. Need to work out why it's happening.

Unfortunately TractorBoys has a lot going on his life at the moment, important things that come before anything internet related.

It's a case of as and when, he is aware of the situation, so once he gets chance, he will get round to it.

Apologies again, hope that helps.

On my phone when I click on my name - to view notifications for example - it opens up a new webpage taking me to random spam pages.

I know a few people have commented about this in the shoutbox and I couldn't find a thread about it, so here it is.

Edit: what dya know, there is one. One order of llama glasses coming up.

Still getting popups even though I have a popup blocker in place - something is definitely amiss with this site as doesn't happen on any other site I visit

Yep, just got it myself. Not sure what it is, I closed the page, cleared my cookies/cache, reloaded and it was fine.

No problems now, no problem on any other site.

Add me to the list of people moaning about pop up ads - getting them on every page on my phone and they're preventing the site functioning properly. None of the links at the top of the page (alerts, messages, etc) work and sometimes none of the links on a page work.

I cleared all my browser info and it has made no difference at all.
