Prescott's managed to walk into just about the best position a rookie QB could wish for with that o-line, run game and Dez.

He just needs to retire. He seems like one of the good guys and ought to hang it up before he starts imparing whatever quality of life he has left for his remaining years. Go and play some golf, chap.

He has been a lightning rod for all the dumbass crap that passes for mainstream commentary on the Cowboys for a decade now, but I think it ought t be clear to anyone with a double digit IQ that he has been a good/maybe very good/but not great QB, and that his (square quotes implied) failure to get over the hump play-off wise has a lot more to do with organisational shortcomings than any lack of individual WINNERINGNESS on his part. As an undrafted Div 2 player one might like to think that his is actually a pretty fucken cool story, but HEY HO.

And yeah, so far Prescott has been about as good as anyone could have hoped for, and I'm kind of excited to see if he might be an answer going forward.

This is pretty shit though, obviously.

Colin Kaepernick getting his name in he news. Good on him I say. People burning 49ers shirts and telling him to leave the country  Get a grip.

Also, me yesterday: Auto-draft gave me Tony Romo. Good or bad?

Carel: Good for the 3 weeks until his collar bone shatters into 18 thousand pieces.

Any excuse to post this video though,

No fan of Kaepernick as a player however good on him. He's not breaking any rules for a start. I do think some of the Murica brigade who are outraged about this would do well to consult the first amendment as well.

Meanwhile the Rams in a sheer act of stupidity extend Tavon Austin for 4 years worth $42m with $30m of it guaranteed. That's a fucking lot of money for a punt returner and a couple end-arounds each game. Not even one season of over 500 receiving yards and the Rams do that. Dumb teams do dumb stuff.

Well you guys don't hang around at least, finally had a look at the league this morning and that zeiks vision team looks like it can be pretty nasty once Brady comes back, good news for me is that he's one of the four teams that I'll not have to play so yeah, good luck dealing with him guys.

I don't think I'll have a starting RB behind Hyde by week four so I'm hoping for some early injuries (Gurley, Bell or Miller please).

I did light a candle for Tony this morning though.

Probably to a fault I'm far too active on making waiver pickups and trades, can't help myself. Sometimes it's worked out well, sometimes not. I probably put far too much stock in rookie wrs too hehe.

Already sent a few feelers out, can't help myself.

I can see why you sent me one with Tamme being my only TE then, but Draughn won't be going anywhere, the best I could offer would be Cunningham (Stl) but at this stage he only really holds handcuff value to Gurley which is pretty crap and not what you need.

I've edited that trade block page under the My Team tab on site so if you see them on the untouchable list their's little chance I'd trade them.

I'm not saying Alex Erickson is like Devin Hester and Jerry Rice combined but he's very close.

All good fella. Yeah I generally target teams for trades who've lost players through injuries or might have an area of weakness that I might feel i can help with.

Certainly better than sending out a load of emails etc, especially given the relatively immense size of the league this year.

QBs dropping like flies, Teddy Bridgewater likely done for the season. Have to say the Vikings have a decent backup in Shaun Hill and their game plan doesn't rely on a elite or very good QB, with the kindness of the NFC North schedule him gong down is not as much of a problem as Romo being out for sometime for the Cowboys. (Unless Dak is the second coming of Brady, in which case they are going to the Superbowl)

Awful for the Vikings. Am being genuine when I say I prefer a battle at the top of the division and obviously the Vikes were surely going to be up there with us again. Will have to rely now on Peterson and the defence - wouldn't immediately rule them out of playoff chances but it certainly wrecks the justified ceiling they had for 2016.

Really sorry to hear about that with Bridgewater. He seems like one of the real good guys in the NFL. Hopefully its not as bad as it sounds and he can be back out there.

Wonder if they may be tempted to bite on Denver shopping Sanchez around after he has seemingly lost out to Siemian.

^^^^ Seen that doing the rounds on Twitter already.

Mike Zimmer has pretty much implied in the follow up press conference that Bridgewater's season is done now. Terrible news for the Vikings as there was a lot of hype on Bridgewater taking the next step in his progression and the Vikings being a credible threat in the NFC.

I dunno, assuming Dallas don't pick up Sanchez there's an easy chance you can get Sanchez for no conditional pick and given his lack of market, probably nearly half the price of his current deal too. I reckon he'll get cut, clear waivers, then sign on somewhere.

Bruce Ellington done for the season too.

Really is the worst time of the year, when preseason hopes and optimism is at its highest and each day goes by hoping there's not a season ending injury for your team.

As gut wrenching a blow as that missed field goal, horrible. We were set up for a really good run at it this season, my expectation is we'd fall a bit short based on experience but win a playoff game which would've been a step forward with a view to getting to the big one in 2017. Now to an extent it's damage limitation and making sure we keep the momentum we've gained under Zimmer going forward at least a little bit, we still have a young team with a top 5 D and a top 1 running back, so we should still contend games, but best case scenario now is we sneak a wildcard and get pummeled in the wild card round ala Houston.

Just have to hope he can make a full recovery and come back as new, and make the same sort of clearly progressive strides he was making this offseason, next year. Damaging for Treadwell's development too now not having an out and out #1 QB (the guy who you'd hope will be his QB for the next 10 years) to lean on either.

Would prefer us not to go with Hill, not a lot out there in terms of viable upgrades though. I'd rather us take a punt on a younger guy than a veteran, some horrible names on that list of FAs, but we can't really afford to give up the house for 1 season so we have to be realistic about who is available.

Other thing to say, it's another year of Peterson getting older too. When Bridgewater comes back and if he resumes his trajectory, you could then need to address the runner if APs form declines.

I'd hope not, I have him in fantasy football this year.
