Wilson misses a wide open Hollister in the end zone then Metcalf drops a gimme deep pass on the goal line, 20 points off my fantasy team right there :hb:

Please tell me the draft next year will be based on where people finish this year. I need some consolation for my season ending Thanksgiving weekend.

Up to 10-1, our defense is simply incredible. Just a shame we can’t do shit when we have the ball.

*Dallas were completely mugged off however on the tripping call at the end. Even as a diehard Pats fan that was bullshit.

That was a horrific call on Travis Fredericks, I'm still not sure Dallas would have done anything on that drive had it not been called so likely a moot point when it's all said and done.

The 49ers defense is just plain nasty, that game next week in Baltimore looks set to be a belter.

After yesterday, it's Duck season the rest of the way, he can actually manouvere out of the pocket which is more than can be said for Mason Rudolph. Next week's game vs. the Browns is season defining for both teams.

Eagles losing to the Phins today, that should really be a sackable offence for the coach.

Shithoused my way into the playoffs with an undeserved win and the Fumble/Cassel result. :ohn:

Well done to Kieran on winning the regular season for the second year in a row if I'm not mistaken?

Also shoutout to SoC for making not only the playoffs but getting the bye to the semi-final in his first National Fantos League.

Looking forward to our game with the Pats on Sunday. D has looked much better over the last couple of games and offense pretty much back to full strength with regards to key players.

Only two scores down but feels like this game is over already. Feel for Brady he has almost nothing to work with.

At this rate the Bills game is going to be with the division on the line.

As it happens the worst unit on the field is not even the Pats Offense tonight as bad as they are. These officials are beyond awful. How the fuck do you blow that dead on the fumble??

7 field goals not enough to beat the Jets :ffs:

Having just seen the highlights, the Patriots were mugged off by the officials. Bet they wish they had VAR!

Oh well, never mind:)

Dear me, the Patriots are never far away from controversy are they? Do we believe their version of what happened or were they stupid enough to get caught cheating again?

Thought you’d be devastated by that ;) In all honesty the worst one was calling Harry out of bounds when he was in for the score. KC rightly won the game and hate going on about officials but the Boger crew in general are almost always the worst every weekend.

Regards the video taping thing referenced above I think this will prove more a case of confirmation bias than anything. If you think we are the evil Cheatriots etc then that is what people will think. My personal view is they probably did make an honest mistake but do understand past history will make others sceptical. I know we are bad right now but not that bad we need to resort to that against the frigging Bengals.

Also I’m not really sure what benefit is gained these days by filming from the press box. Most teams will send their play calls in via the helmets, very rare will teams resort to hand signals etc any more.

Why is Sky Sports Mix showing a replay of a NBA game and not Red Zone. It’s not like it’s a live OT game!!! Complete with advert breaks too :hb:

So about that about not needing to resort to that against the frigging Bengals... This isn't aging well :shut:

And as much of an absolute legend that Tom Brady is the eyes don't lie. He is not good anymore. The rest of the offense is horrendous but can't get away from the fact this looks like he may be close to finished.

Well done to Buffalo booking their post-season slot, excellent win tonight against what's proven to be a difficult opponent in Pittsburgh.

Sets up next Saturday perfectly in terms of the AFCE. Doubt it will be an offensive masterpiece from either team and more likely to be an attritional battle. We win we take the division and equally as important are still on for the bye week in the playoffs. Bills win it then goes to the last day.

Looks like mine and Craig matchup in fantasy is going to be decided by my kicker on MNF. Hopefully third time lucky for me in this one.

Not the boldest prediction now they've gone above .500 for the first time but... Pittsburgh are making the playoffs, aren't they? Very possibly at our (Buffalo's) expense. I'd mentally written them off far too early and not paid much attention. Apart from that disaster against NE though their other losses have been tight games against some of the very best teams. Lost by 2 points to Seattle, 4 to San Francisco and 3 to Baltimore. And now they're on a bit of a tear.

Schedule looks good and I reckon they beat us in week 15 and it's not unlikely that'll be part of a 3-games losing streak (Baltimore, Pittsburgh, NE) that drops us out of contention.

Hard to recall a time I was so happy with being wrong with a football prediction.

Cheers Kieran.

When we made it the other year with Tyrod et al it really just felt like an anomaly. With what McDermott has done since this feels like... hopefully... the first of a good run of playoff appearances in the coming years.

Aye I thought at the start of the year you were going to be competitive as seemed like you'd done things the right way by building a team rather than trying to collect talent like some teams do. That's how teams are successful consistently in this league. Helped also that Tre White has had an exceptional year, if it weren't for Gilmore he could be in the conversation as one of the best DB's in the NFL.

Definitely think this is more than a one time deal for the Bills though especially if it does transpire this is Bradys last year in New England. Be curious what happens with Miami who will do a serious re-tooling job this off-season, if they get that right and the Jets stop being the Jets (well maybe not) our division could be a very interesting one to follow in general but the Bills are already very well placed.

Yep, they were saying on commentary that White is really only behind Gilmore as best corner in the league now.

Will be interesting to see if Miami get it together for next season. I'd imagine it'll take them a bit longer tbh but if they play their cards right they could be good in say 3 years time. Perhaps a more realistic timeline for an NFL team to turn it around? Like it took McDermott with the Bills, really.

I think we we can discount the Jets as long as they keep Gase though. Only thing that makes me sad there is the thought of Darnold being held back. Would be a shame for the kid if he doesn't fulfill his potential coz of the organisation he's at.

A competitive AFC East would be good though after so long. Dunno if you've ever seen the charts of each division's finishing positions before but like the NFC East and South (until the last 3 years) are nuts, teams swinging from first to last and back to first in the space of like 4 years. And ours is like a lifetime of Pats punctuated by one good Jets year. :ffs:

Couple questions for you about Brady too mate. First, do you think it will be his last year? Like how much of a % chance do you reckon it is?

And if it is, who replaces him? Dunno if you have someone already there to come in or if you think there is someone you could trade for? Teddy B springs to mind. Coz you're not going to have a high draft pick for any of the college studs, are you?

Best season since 99 when we got 11 wins

Yeah think its going to come down to a Defensive slugfest the key for us is not turning over the ball cheaply still can't see us beating the Pats to the Afc East title as we are reliant on Dolphins

If I was to hazard a guess I would say its about 65-35 that Brady is not in New England next year, his contract is up and I think the Pats will allow him to at least hit free agency. He may go and play another year maybe back home in California for the Chargers or something like that as suspect they might move on from Rivers.

Our current backup is Jarett Stidham, he showed a couple of signs of promise from what I saw of him in pre-season but in no way did he look NFL ready either when he did get called upon against the Jets in week 3. Seems more of a 3 year project type deal than a ready replacement.

As you say we are hamstrung by the fact our draft position is not going to be high enough to get any blue-chipper out of college so maybe go for a temporary one for a year. Wouldn't be against Phil Rivers for a year or even Cam if he's healthy (though in his case I think we'd have to significantly change up our scheme to accommodate him). Alternatively as you mentioned Teddy, I could be on board with that. The work he did in that Saints Offense while Brees was out was of the highest quality.
