Be fascinating to see the numbers when they come out on this one. My guess is it’s got to be worth at least $400m. Mahomes is more than worth every penny regardless. How they will work the numbers on the cap will be interesting as can only pro rata signing bonuses over 5 years which is normally how you circumvent the cap.

I suspect his agent has seen the lay of the land in terms of potential decrease in the salary cap next year so have decided strike the deal now.

Suprised it's a 10 year deal think in 3-4 years this blockbuster deal could look cheap given how the cap expands.

Also it is going to be interesting to see what the NFL does about the Anti Semitic messages some players are spouting especially some openly supporting Farrakhan.

On the subject of racism finally Washington are going to change their name. In the end it was a case of money talks on this one as various sponsors made it known not the small matter of it being racial slur against native Americans being the reason for the change it should be noted.

The Jets just got a major haul trading Jamal Adams and a fourth rounder to the Seahawks - a first and third rounder next year and a further first in 2022 plus Bradley McDougald.

If only the Jets knew how to do the draft this could have ended up giving the rest of the AFC East a few headaches down the line.

Either way that is way too much to give up for essentially a box safety in Adams.

It's a good haul but I am not convinced Jets will use it all that well especially where these picks will be and they still have Adam Gase as HC. It will be interesting to see what kind of deal he gets from the Seahawks I would expect it would be market setting as he has been the No1 Safety the last few years.

A fair amount of players opting out of the season. Most of them from the Patriots from what I've seen! Not looking good as far as having a season goes. Especially with the MLB shit show going on right now too.

Just void the season for me. Gonna be shit and that but seems like most sane option. Pick up again in a year.

I expect the season to go ahead, when it comes to the NFL money talks and there is too much involved for it not to. The domino to fall that might change that would be if a high end QB were to opt out though suspect that will be unlikely. No doubt will at least get the conspiracy theories going with the Pats about tanking for Trevor but the players who opted out like Cannon (a cancer survivor) for example were always likely.

Ok can we have a head count guys. Just let me know if you’re in and your fantos team name. Looking to draft Sunday before opening day.

If you’re new and want to play let me know. We have one open spot at the moment coz Son of Cod is not playing this year. Can create more spaces tho or other folk might drop out.

Buccs looking like a real fun side to watch probably one of the most offensive stacked rosters definately one of the most talented rosters Brady has had Fournette, Shady and Jones is a good trio at RB then there is Gronk and OJ at tight end and Evans and Godwin as Wideout NFC South could be a really interesting battle

This year to be honest is going to be a complete lottery outside of the obvious first few picks I think as with no pre-season etc can’t get a sense of a few of the under the radar type players that flash up around this time of year as you normally would.

Titans set to sign Clowney. I like that as a signing for them. Think that team looks really well placed to do well this year. Am surprised as thought the Saints were favourites. Should make Brady breathe a sigh of relief.
