Attacks in Paris + Belgium

What is going on with Bavaria at the moment.
It's full of migrants from Islamic countries who weren't vetted before they arrived and is therefore vulnerable.

I struggle to see how Merkel survives this politically. It strikes me as particularly odd because a few years back she was complaining that immigrants in Germany, notably the Turks, had failed to integrate sufficiently into the German way of life. Now I don't have a view one way or the other because I don't know enough about Germany. But if that was her view, then her decision last year to invite everyone who could make it to stay just seems completely barmy.

I can only assume that with an ageing society and forecasts for a significant fall in the overall German population, she decided that getting a large body of working age people into the country quickly was a price worth paying. This would also explain why what was supposedly a grand humanitarian gesture didn't involve airlifts or prioritising the most vulnerable in camps. No, she wanted those best able to traipse across half a continent to get dibs. That is, predominantly fit, young working age men. Don't want to be paying for Syrian grannies after all, do we?

What a mess.

It seems he was a rejected asylum seeker from two years ago but had been allowed to stay on a temporary basis due to the ongoing situation. Apparently he'd been sectioned for a while due to mental health needs.

A lot of these attacks seem to be coming from "lone wolf" figures at the moment rather than highly organised and trained individuals don't they? Still just as dangerous if not more so because of detecting them.

The truth is this ostensibly compassionate gesture by Germany was always more about addressing their demographic deficit than anything else. Western governments don't want to put measures in place that would allow people to more comfortably have more children, so instead they just take the lazy option of importing warm bodies from elsewhere instead. This is why mass immigration is supported (in deed if not in word) by the entire mainstream political establishment on both the left and the right despite how unpopular the policy is. As is so often the case with economists and modern social theorists though, they simply refuse to take culture into account.

I've rarely read a more cynical post.

How is he failed if they've allowed him to stay? Surely he is claiming asylum if they think it's too dangerous to deport him, and if it's for crimes he should be locked up?

One man of a million shouldn't tarnish refugees but it's clear that mistakes have been made, I don't buy the 'establishment conspiracy' stuff but internationally it's not been worked fairly. Putin has probably had the most sensible policy in terms of Syria, even if for the wrong reasons.

But most of the perpetrator of these attacks seem to either suffer from mental health issues or themselves indulged in drink, drugs and other things usually associated with western lifestyles. Your narrative makes no sense EG.

The vetting (or lack thereof) is a huge issue though.

What narrative is that?

Finally we are seeing the result of letting in millions of refugees without any proper checks. No one who supported Merkel and her ideas will stand up and take the responsibility though.

That cultural 'incompatibility' and the mass importation of it is the underlying cause of these attacks. Or is atleast the reason to why Europe is now more vulnerable/prone to them.

I guess it makes you very happy seeing innocent people die.
what? You're the one who said finally. And i hope that the death count remains at one - the attacker himself.

How on earth is it merkels fault? One person who was Denied asylum blew himself up.

You think think the Islamic background of Islamist mass-killers is arbitrary? A coincidence? No, the fact that a Muslim can live an ostensibly decadent Western lifestyle and still find solace in this type of ideology only brings our assimilation problems into sharper focus.

You going to take responsibility for the murder of Jo Cox seen as you're also opposed to immigration?

Their geographic origin will be much more influential than Islam, Islam is the shelf dressing they use to justify their murder and rally people. How many of these people are immigrating from stable Muslim countries and then committing these atrocities?

What does subscribing to a violent apocalyptic world view have to do with Islamic Culture? You keep switching between culture and extremist ideology when making your points as if they are one and the same.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.

'Finally' is an interesting choice there. Because up until now, it's been people locally born, and trying to blame historic migration comes across as a little bit 'send the buggers back'.. So, phew... Finally we can blame migrants.

Without trying to figure out G-Dragon's agenda or to get into an in-depth discussion about second and third generation migrants (both how society treats them and how successful immigrant communities have been in integrating), 'finally' isn't really the appropriate word. The mass migration has only been going on for 18 months and already we're seeing 'refugees' murdering people in the name of ISIS.

Interesting how people love to interpret one word to fit their agenda.

It'd be worthwhile for you if you were actually honest. Unlike EG you haven't got the intellect to disguise your views as something else, you just look like a bigoted numpty with a clear agenda whenever you comment.

Because one is the Petri dish that spawned the other. You don't get Islamism without Islam.

Incidents happen every day always have. I fail to see what you're getting at.
Oh sorry I thought it was quite simple. If a priest getting beheaded in france is normal after disabled people are knifed to death in Japan, when less than 24 hours earlier people had been shot at a Florida night club and Killed at a German Music Festival.

Thats not normal and shows acts of violence are getting out of control by terrorists/lone wolfs/ mentally unwell people.

It's really quite staggering that you think these attacks are normal. Even the fact we now have a dedicated thread up to page 53 shows it isn't.

Do statistics back up that there's been a huge increase in murder this year?

I never said these were normal. Just trying to clarify your statement. Maybe because its on the news you think these attacks are more frequent, or do you mean more frequent in europe?

because neither are.
