I wouldn't, Smith will typically set us up not to concede at home, we'll probably play the same back 4 as at FGR with two defensive midfielders in front. Given that Braintree don't score many and neither do we, this has 0-0 all over it so 21/10 on the draw would be where I'm looking, though I hate putting draws in an acca.

It wouldnt suprise me if Smith named the same team as Friday

I went there once in the 1988 (I was at Uni in Kent) and saw them play Altrincham in a FA Trophy replay (Barrow had the winners in the next round) - did that ground actually hold 4000?

That tie was decided on the 3rd replay, I remember the home games. You knocked us out in the next round IIRC

Massive game for both ourselves and Chester today. All three points desperately needed by both teams.
We have fought hard and played pretty well in our recent home games but showed neither fight or quality at Southport.
Concerned!

Sorry in advance for the soaking that the Grimsby supporters are going to get on our open terrace! There's been heavy rain/hail showers on and off for the last couple of days but brightened up a bit just recently. No chance of the game not going ahead now.

I'd say 1-0 Braintree. Yes they don't score many, but your defensive record doesn't look great. So Braintree to win to Nil @ 10/3 or 4.33.

Our team today is very makeshift due to injuries and illness.

O'Leary, Williams, Lowe, Tunnicliffe, Kinsella, Jones, Fane, McQuilkin, Ngwatala, Patrick, Langmead.

Think it's a 5-4-1 with Langmead up front.

I've just had to look up the Barrow result on the club archive. I have absolutely no memory of the 0-0 at Moss Lane, though I'm sure I would have been there. I didn't travel to Barrow. 4 matches in the semi-final? What happened there - replays after the 2 legs?

Edit to add - just looked it up. A 4 match semi final - imagine the uproar if those rules still applied?

We are playing Tom Shaw again. Ridiculous. He is bloody awful and we deserve to get relegated if we persevere with Shaw.

Guiseley win unless Hannah and Alabi do it all on their own.

We're playing a very very makeshift side. A back 3 made of a centre half left back and right back - and 2 central midfielders playing wing back.

Indeed we do. From the commentary it sounds like the ball hit Kurtis Guthrie and went in, rather than him hitting it, from a shot by Brett Williams.
Isn't that how you score all your goals? :dk:

Macc lead Grimsby. Be nice if they can end their faint title hopes before this Friday.

1-0 up at half time, sounds like it should be 3 at least. Norwood doing his usual of scoring whilst missing a load of chances. Results stay the same and ill be very happy.

We've been that diabolical that Hurst has actually made a sub before the 80 minute mark! Over 40 minutes early!!
