He may be rested as a matter of compassion for our non-league guests.

However, when we go 3-0 down, he'll probably be brought on in the 13th minute to arrest the slide.

It's becoming clear now , he is the greatest non scoring striker in the world right now ...If he did actually score a goal , I think Real Madrid would be in like a shot ....I'm happy with his 50 or 60 assists that will come over the season

That's what Real Madrid need though. Ronaldo and Benzema score the goals (and bale occasionally) so Bingham would be ideal to assist them, or drag players away to leave space for them.

I still think Real will come knocking in Jan, goals or not.

Actually , if Ronnie could convert him into an attacking midfield player , then we really do have a hit on our hands

Just watched the goal on Youtube, and I have to say that's a lovely assist from our Rakish. However, ahem, I'm not going to say anything about all those golden chances Cheltenham had. I like to think the fact Rakish was on the field at the time is the main reason they failed to score.

He has some much influence on his team mates and on the opposition's players at the same time.

It was obvious that when the Rakster entered the field of play that the oppo's heads went down and the inevitable happened. If he'd wanted their bus to break down on the way home, it would have, but he's a magnanimous man and so didn't wish it.

He's on the telly next Sunday, a perfect opportunity for all your children to witness true greatness. If there's another Mandela out there, it could be the Bing that inspires them.

Think on. :bg:

Rakish is going to Salford.

You just couldn't make it up. The Salford players will be pinching themselves.

I reckon the 2 Manchester managers will pop along .... Our dream of Rakish dressed as Santa on the Marina could be in tatters

They are at the same level as Darlington Locomotion 2468 so we just have to win this one

Darlo fans absolutely refuse to accept they no longer exist ..They won't call themselves 1883 and are under some illusion that Darlington FC is a functioning football club ,it isn't , it's gone ...If they call themselves by a name that doesnt exist then so will I

Bit harsh... Would you not have felt the same had your team become AFC Hartlepool?

Supporters of FC Halifax Town, as far as I'm aware usually don't bother to mention the FC when referring to their club so that you know it's a different club to Halifax Town FC.

I doubt you say Carlisle United .. just Carlisle ... For the record I think they were dealt with unjustly , but to not accept the decision whilst accepting the decision is just silly .... They could have called themselves anything except Darlington FC , they chose Darlington 1883 FC in the hope they could just drop the numbers and that no one would print it . Personally if I were them I would have just gone for Darlo FC , everyone calls them that , same as most say Wolves instead of Wolverhampton Wanderers

That's true, but if we went bust and had to reform as say, Carlisle United 1904 FC, then I would still just say 'Carlisle'. I wouldn't feel the need to always add the 1904 just so everyone knew that I knew I was talking about a different club, and the fact I could avoid reminding myself of that would be a nice bonus.

But Darlington 1883 were founded in 2012 .....in years to come the couple of hundred Darlo fans are going to be very confused ....as far as names go we've been Hartlepools United , Hartlepool , and Hartlepool United , we've exhausted moat options unneccesaraly ....plus without moving an inch , we have managed to play in two towns ! ....The Vic was in West Hartlepool before Hartlepool invaded

Enough of this Darlo talk. I respect them and wish them all the best to get back up where they belong and all that, but this thread is about the chosen one.

I'm wondering if he'll be rested again in the cup as they're only a part time non-league side after all. But if Ronnie decides so, then it's also logical he'll rest him for the Orient match too, as, frankly speaking, they're also no great shakes, right?

What's the point in having Rakish if you're forever resting him for the next biggest side, as let's face it, none of us in this division are anywhere near his standard, so Ronnie will be resting him for a long time if that's his attitude. It would also be a bit ironic if he were to rest one of the world's fittest athletes because of fears of him getting tired/injured.

I would honestly play Rakish in every game, and also every reserve game, even when that means him playing two games on the same day, because 1) He's more than capable of it, 2) It gives the maximum number of Hartlepool players the opportunity to get used to the great man's style of play as after Rakish, every other player's task is identical. Pass to Rakish, wait for Rakish to cleverly fox the opposition by leaving it, or playing his cross off the post, tap it into an open goal.

Told you boys - Moore isn't willing to risk playing the Bing against sub-standard opponents. So, what I'm thinking is this - Rakish will be mainly used as a sub unless Pools are playing half decent sides like Pompey, Plymouth,Oxford and perhaps Luton, but that's a bit of a stretch.

I'm feeling so deflated right now as I missed seeing him in action when we went up there :hb:No chance he'll feature in the return at The Abbey :(

Maybe you'll see Moore set him on Salford live on BBC2.

No way HG! Salford may be owned by the class of 92, but as a club they are still minnows. If RM thinks Orient are beneath Rakish, then there's no way he'll start him against Salford. Still, there's always the chance RB's team mates under perform on the day and find themselves 2 or 3 down, in which case Moore will have no choice but to bring him on.

Hopefully Moore has finally seen how ineffective Fenwick is, and will put Bingham back in the team next week.
