It'll be the same team as Sunday next time out. We'll keep the Rak for special occasions. Play off finals, FA Cup final etc etc.

This one is perhaps my favourite Bingham goal, though it's a bit hard to choose with so many great goals. The way he keeps his composure under pressure is remarkable. This goal also makes me think me of how cruel or envious some people can be as one fan had the cheek to suggest that the two defenders did their best to make it simple for Rakish to score! Unbelievable!

Bump! Just doing you all a favour as there's a good chance this thread will be busy tomorrow afternoon, so I'm bumping it up to the first page.

You can thank me later.

I think I noticed him very occasionally when he wasn't in our defenders' pockets.

That's very harsh Staggies. See this tweet by HUFC for evidence -

11mins - Pools have started well and Rakish Bingham has just seen a volley brilliantly saved by Jensen, who tipped it onto the bar. 0-0

It was Bingham's volley and it needed a very good save.

It was a performance very similar to what we regularly saw from Rakish. He's far from the worst of strikers, just a standard forward at this level but good luck to him.

If he was in your defenders pockets, he'll only have been there because he wanted to be there.

He's Rakish Bingham, he does what he wants.

You know where the Raki's best position is?

Between Neymar and Suarez. I don't know why Luis Enrique is playing him and Mandron up top in a 2....

You know, if you win your game in hand you'd still be closer to the playoffs than to relegation.

Big if. It will also probably be the closest we will be to the playoffs all season..

He produced something close to a miracle last season. He can't be bad.

Yes, he is a brilliant 'keep a team who should be doing much better than they are just above the relegation spots' manager. Anything beyond that, nah.

Genuinely sad to see the optimism go so sour at Hartlepool, I was looking forward to it being us, you and Mansfield again at the right end of the table.

Yep, I'm sad too, as I think the town needed a lift after last season's year long relegation battle. But frankly speaking, I'm more sad that Rakish has only got two goals so far, and therefore there's no chance I'm winning your longest odds game. Unless he scores a couple of consecutive hat tricks asap, and gets himself back in contention that is.

The optimism hasn't gone ....Rome wasn't built in a day , I know it's a lot , but 3 or 4 decent players and we are in with a sniff...

Truly living up to your name there. There's always an outside chance of a surge up the table but there's a lot of other teams in the mid-bottom half will be hoping to do the same. Cambridge maybe, so competition to bring players in the get the points on the board will be tough.

We will probably end up 15th ish by the end ....that means having a boring 5 months ....injecting a bit of unrealistic optimism into my mindset means I'm not going to be a misery on the message boards
