I keep saying this but the job didn't end at the close of last season. We were so deep in the soft and smelly that just surviving was a miracle. It's a full rebuild and it will take time. New owners, new manager and new squad won't all miraculously come together. We've had something like 50 managers in 38 years. That's just ludicrous. Give this fella time and backing and we'll come right. We've had people with all the certificates and they've been bloody awful.

The ambition is there it just needs time. Regrettably Poolies aren't inclined to that so it needs a bit of steel in the boardroom.

And that brings us nicely back to Rakish ....If ever there was a 2/3 year signing , it is he ....he'll start to come good sooner or later , as will Oates ....We desperately need the midfield sorting

Well our young, talented 2/3 year signing from a couple of years ago just today left the club by mutual consent after failing feature all season, it doesn't always work out.

It's never mutual though is it ? ..... no politician wants to spend more time with his family and there's always someone else involved when a couple split up ...I wonder if a footballers wife has ever had an affair with a politician ?

Yeah exactly, although usually as a footballer there might be a payoff involved, which means if he finds a club then he'll be financially better off than if he'd refused to leave Carlisle. Always seemed like a nice guy, has the talent, hope he realises it somewhere.

Going to Oldham according to someone on our board, great move for him.

You've got to ask yourself what a league one club can see that a league two one can't

Bings can't even get a game before the useless Mandron now.We have 4 forwards & they're all shyte barring Paynter.
We have a midfield who prance about like Wayne Sleep & a left back who'd probably can't even butter a slice of bread.
God I hate football.

I hear Gary Neville is thinking of registering himself as a player for this game, just so he can achieve a lifetime ambition of being on the same pitch as Bingham.

'I retired when I did because the chance to play against or with such a fine player seemed out of reach' Neville remarked, showing an amazing prescience as Neville retired before Bingham had even started his career. 'I thought that was it for me, when we drew Hartlepool out of the hat though, I knew I couldn't allow the opportunity to pass me by'.

Rakish is gonna run rings (or bings) around him.

I heard Bingham is going to be Neville's first signing at Valencia.

Why do Pools have Ronnie and not Rakish on their Christmas cards?

They can't afford him.
They can just about. They will use the money they'll get from the land of the old Mestalla. Plus they plan to include Paco Alcacer and Jose Gaya in the deal as well as money they have left over from the sale of Otamendi to Man City.

They have ambitions to get back to the top, so they want a marquee signing.

Don't forget Salford have a dodgy Sky box so that money saved will have gone into Nevilles fighting fund

Bingham left on the bench tonight.

Only fair on Salford I guess. I wouldn't be surprised if the BBC / class of 92 offered Hartlepool a bribe to ensure Bingham doesn't start.

Can't really blame Ronnie for opting to leave Rakish out. A high profile match, so RM wouldn't want him to get a hat trick and attract unwanted interest from Championship clubs now would he? Still, I don't agree with this at all as the other clubs are already aware of what Bingham can do so it's only a matter of time before he leaves.

Was planning on watching the game but I don't think so now :( Fat Billy is also missing, so who wants to watch Mandron and Fenwick?

That French striker Pools have loaned in doesn't look up to it. Surely they would have been better off with Rakishinho up front?

I remember that Mandron playing against us for Sunderland in a friendly last year, he looked decent for a young lad. He looks shite so far though, terrible first touch and hasn't had any impact.

Only Rakish can save Hartlepool here!

Mandron and Fenwick have been a complete waste of time.

It's surely all set up for Rakish....
