Yeah I saw this yesterday. It's a great team goal made even better by the eventual scorer.

See the confidence that breeds through the team because of the presence of Rakish. Average SPL footballers learning from the best, they improve technically, they see the picture that they wouldn't have seen 12 months ago.

This is exactly why the SFA paid so much to bring him to the league.

Not been much on the Bingham front lately. Accies did recently pull off the coup of the century in getting him to commit to a further couple of years. He's been reportedly enjoying a break from football so that he can focus on conquering Everest, curing cancer and denuclearising the Korean peninsula. What taking a break means for Rakish though, still involves popping up to Accies games and banging in a goal or two, it just means he isn't training, or going all out, as we all know if he did they'd have won the Champions League by now.

On a related note, while I know Soup Ladle still hangs around, occasionally posting in the L2 forum for old time's sake, I haven't seen any of the other poolies recently, they still around. Dissapointed to see that Glasshalffullpools hasn't been online since 2017. Indeed relegation might have been too much to take for him, as he only posted a dozen times or so since Hartlepool were relegated and the last one of those was just as their first season down there kicked off.

He's still only 25? Unbelievable what he has achieved given that he's still so young.

Quote from the Accies forum recently comparing him to Pele:
"Bingham gets a hard time from fans, but Pele could do no better with the service Rakish gets."

Just been released by Hamilton. The fools.
I hear they've come to an agreement with Barcelona to release him from his contract. However Bingham has since said he takes a moral stand against paying for a club with a bunch of tax evaders. He's anyone's now.

Stuart Nelson made a miraculous wonder save to deny Rakish a goal on his debut. Best save I've ever seen. Bingham couldn't have hit it better.

Rakish ready for 'brand new challenge' after Cheltenham unveiling

Dyjb8vzX0AAm8hq.jpg

Rakish Bingham has insisted he remains as ambitious as ever after completing his move to Cheltenham Town from Hamilton. The 25-year-old was unveiled by the English giants on Thursday evening after passing a medical earlier in the day.
“My time in the Scottish Premiership was wonderful, but it’s a brand new step in my life, so I thank all the supporters with my heart,” Bingham said at a press conference. “But I have to focus on this next step. I’m looking forward to playing. I’m very motivated, concentrated and focused on that.”

“I’m going to try to show that I am a top player, as usual. I’m going to work hard in training ... I am very ambitious and I like challenges. I don’t like to stay in my comfort zone. After the experiences in Mansfield, and in Hartlepool, I’d like to mark the history of Cheltenham.”

Bingham revealed he had chosen to join Cheltenham rather than head for one last big pay day in the Middle or Far East. “I’m here because it’s a brand new challenge for my career,” he said.

“It’s a big club and usually players who’ve achieved as much as I have go to Qatar or to China, with all due respect, so coming to such an important and outstanding club at this point in my career makes me very happy. That’s why I’m very grateful to Cheltenham for this opportunity.”

“Cheltenham have won FA Trophy’s, Southern League titles, a Conference title and even a Leamington Hospital Cup, so I am so proud to be here, I am so proud that they were interested in me,” Bingham added.

“I hope I can give the best response on the field during matches, that’s what I can do. I hope I can take them to an even higher level and add to my legacy.”

I got told the other day that we stuck him up in a hotel, showed him round the ground and everything was verbally agreed, next morning he disappeared and signed for Cheltenham so we got Bennett instead. A story of what could have been.

Really worried that Salford might have poached him

Exactly what I was thinking. Salford promoted, then next day reports emerge that Bingham wants to leave Cheltenham.

It would be Lim, Neville, Beckham and co’s biggest statement yet if they were to get him.

Once upon a time, it appears this was the best thread in the stratosphere. Now it’s coming back like a phoenix from the flames.

Mino Raiola has been spotted in Carlisle to seal Rakish Bingham’s move to Carlisle United.
After so many weeks of speculation about Rakish Bingham’s future, it looks like agent Mino Raiola finally closed a deal with Carlisle United.
The infamous agent has been working all the angles he can in order to get the best deal for his client, Rakish Bingham.
The player is coming from an incredible season both for his club and planet, he was one of the most coveted players during the summer after opting to leave Cheltenham for a new challenge, with several clubs courting him including the likes of Real Madrid, Juventus, Manchester United, Salford City, and Paris Saint-Germain. At once stage it did look like the super star would be heading to Plymouth Argyle, but sources close to the club say the plug was pulled on the deal with staff worried that the player has never played for Bury.
It now seems Carlisle United have won the race. An official announcement could be made within the next 48 hours.

It’s a shame he didn’t return to League 2 but he’s all about challenges isn’t he and he obviously wanted to experience a different league.

Doncaster fans must be pinching themselves.

Phenomenal news in that I get to behold the Bingham magic in action when we face DRFC, but I fear that a Saints-Leicester scoreline could be on the cards with him in the oppo squad. Bittersweet.
