At the risk of sounding an idiot, why is there a 34 page thread on this guy?
After your recent experiences with our stormtroopers at Home Park, surely nothing us bunch of nutters get up to surprises you anymore?

I think he'll come good now .... a good long term investment ....just a pity we can only say 'I told you so ' for one season ....as we will be out of here this time next year !

As things stand, I'd have you lot down for a top 4 finish, but if King Rakish does indeed join you, then I can easily see you doing a Northampton next year.

Btw, is Rakish still under contract or is he looking for a new club?

We always dish out 1 year deals with an option of a year , as he was not on any list given out by the club we have to assume we've exercised our right to keep him .....PoolieTom is your man for stuff like this

I don't think any option has been exercised. I would guess at either a new contract has been offered - or he has chosen to go elsewhere.

Does your club not announce when they've decided not to renew the contract of a player?

Alas, gentlemen.

The news all Poolies have been dreading.

King Rakish has left the club.

Confirmed by the chairman after a fan asked on twitter.

A clearly crestfallen Gary Coxall composed a 52-character tweet stating: "Rakish has left the club - he'll have plenty of options"

It is thought that he is weighing up potential moves to Grimsby or the priesthood.

Was expecting this so not surprised. I expect he'll join Grimsby or some other Northern side like Morecambe or Crewe, unless one of the moneybags NL sides come calling.

Still think he can do a job for a mid or lower mid table L2 side.

Why, just outside The Northern Gas and Power Stadium* of course!

*thanks to Murphy as I didn't know they changed their ground's name.

"RAKISH Bingham has stunned Hartlepool and the footballing world by leaving the north-east side today.

Bingham, 22, scored 4 times for Hartlepool last season but was widely acknowledged for his ability to drag attention towards himself and away from his fellow team mates allowing them to prosper well above their natural levels of talent, but he felt it was time to start banging in the goals again.

He exclusively told the Bullshit News, "It's definitely time for a change, I want to be scoring goals again. Don't get me wrong I am the ultimate giver, let's be honest Hartlepool are fucking toilet, without me to distract the opponents they'd have finished bottom and I was more than happy to do that, but I need to be the centre of attention again. In my giving ways, I will reject the advances of the big boys and the big money I deserve to remain in the lower leagues with those less fortunate, but I want to be the goalscorer this time. It's time to start thinking about Russia 2018 and with Big Sam now out of the north-east, unable to read the glowing match reports in the local paper, it's only goals that will do that for me."

An unnamed Pools player told us anonymously, "In my 12 months with Rakish I've not only become a better footballer, but a better human being as well. The guy just gives and gives and gives, and his talent on the training ground is something to behold, it's like watching a whole team of Messi's. He was a daily inspiration to us all, and I suspect we are now nailed on for relegation this year."

We tried to contact Bingham's agent to find out where he will go next, but the line was engaged for all of the 6 hours we tried, and his voicemail inbox full, undoubtedly crammed by requests from across the country, and the globe, for his signature."

Missed this Very Important Update, and hence was wondering where the fuck King Rakish was on the team sheet yesterday. Wikipedia still lists him as a Poolz player too. Ah well, the glamour signing cannot be far off.

This move has been engineered by the SFA, no way a club like Hamilton could afford to pay Hartlepool's compensation alone. My sources are telling me that it's part of their big plan to bring the top players to Scotland to revive the game up there and also improve the Scotland national football team as playing against the likes of Bingham week-in-week-out is sure to sharpen up the local talent.

The reason Hamilton were chosen is that they didn't want Bingham to be the team-mate of Scottish internationals at the bigger clubs as it would make them lazy and reliant on having a superstar who can do all the hard work for them.

I've just put £10 on Hamilton to win the Champions League in 2017/18. I'd do it yourself if I were you because as soon as this goes from rumour to fact then the odds on that will tumble.

He has signed for Hamilton Academical

Just seen this, and I have to say thank you DSL for this wonderful news. TBH, I was getting a bit worried with no news of the King.

Seriously though, now I don't know much about Scottish footy but apparently it's not very good (don't know when was the last time I watched an SPL game so am only going on what I read/hear) but I believe he's a decent enough player to play in L2. I have this idea he needs confidence from those around him to show what he's fully capable of. Seriously.

Reggie has already managed half of Bingham's league tally last season. Watch this space - he may even warrant a dedicated thread soon.

Quite disappointed Hamilton Accy didn't give HIM at least 2 mins today, more so when they played Ross f'ing County. Sort this thing out now Mr Accies manager (don't know his name cos I don't follow Scottish footy, although there's a good chance that will change now)

Funnily enough , I drove through Glasgow last week , Hamilton and Motherwell are dead close to each other , but you don't think of it as a 'derby' .....I added Celtic Park to grounds I've seen but not been in to , albiet from a fair distance , but seen it I have !

So disappointing for Bingham today. Accies take the lead on 50 mins at Hearts, King Rakish comes on in the 54th min, Hearts get 3 goals in the final 20 mins. Surely Bingham coming on had nothing to do with Accies' collapse though?

They Accies players were simply in awe of his raw talent. Once he came on they tried to play every pass to him but Hearts had 9 men surrounding him with the other left to score goals. Will he ever be able to live up to his true potential?
