Blackpool FC is not dying, merely sinking to it's natural level

In fairness, Bradley Potts seems like a surprisingly sensible signing.
I've got to be naive and say I haven't really heard much about him.

8 goals from midfield and right back has to be promising?

He was terrible at right back, but once we moved him into midfield his all round game improved. Started the season brightly, and he was one of our better players in the first few months. In January there was interest from your lot, and I believe we rejected a bid, and from then on he looked disinterested and lacked effort.

He'll be a decent signing for Blackpool, though many of ours fans weren't gutted to see him leave after such a disappointing 2nd half of the season.

We've just signed a random player from Celtic. Not a clue who he is or how good he is.

Time will tell. Uninspiring.

Glasgow or Stalybridge??

Not sure I even care anymore.

Another fan being sued for holding a sign up inside the ground. I actually can't believe we cannot go a day without another negative story at my Football Club. Does any other club do this to their fans?

Ours did a while back. Not quite to this level but there are some unbelievable and hilarious stories from the V2001 era.

He's proper on the ball with all the 'hush hush' Blackpool goings-on considering he lives in Swindon and is constantly commuting to London to make use of his free Wembley tickets.

All worked out in the end for us but was a long hard road, hopefully the same positive ending for Blackpool and its loyal fans.

Indeed, I too hope Blackpool plod along in League One with 3,000 fans for the rest of their days.

The first sign of people acting like 2 year olds again and this goes back to being closed permanently.

Blackpool looking forward to their first home victory this millenium on Saturday!

Harry Potter has decided to take himself away for a holiday the day after his 6 week ban gets lifted. Yup, it's not being done on purpose. Honest guv. Whilst the entire of the footballing authorities sit back and wonder why the fans are protesting and invade pitches causing other teams grief.

It is very difficult to follow the thread of what Oyston has written but it if it is true that he and his companies have never taken any dividends or money from the club while completely redeveloping Bloomfield Road into a modern stadium, it makes him seem a lot more reasonable as an owner (I know that as a person he does seem to be pretty unpleasant).
I remember reading that it is alleged that he's used the Premiership TV money to fund his own companies, is that a fact?

Bumped into an old mate at the weekend who has been following Blackpool for a number of years. He;s one of the most optimistic people I know. If he lost his arms and legs he'd still be happy that he could see the world.

His love for Blackpool is still there, but his optimism is almost none existent now. And for me to see someone like him so down about his club speaks volumes about the current situation there.

Hope they manage to sort things out.

Read both.

Owen and Karl have removed large sums of money into other Oyston owned companies, all facts within the 2012/2013 accounts.

And he didn't completely renovate Bloomfield Road at all. We still have a temporary stand, a corner missing and two stands that he didn't even pay for!!!!! Sick of people commenting without reading the facts. He's not a reasonable owner, he sues fans because he doesn't like the truth being aired in public.

You're still alive!!!

I think Blackpool will get relegated. Hopefully on the 23rd April :)

It may happen a long time before 23/4. Probably Easter.

You might have to wait a good deal longer for that.

So it sounds like he paid for half of one side of the ground then?
It's like with just about any politician, you have to deconstruct what they're saying otherwise they'll lead you away from what's actually happening.
I thought he was just playing up to his image as a villain. I don't think that this change of self-presentation as a reasonable owner is going to work as your post picks holes in his account pretty easily.

In footballing terms yes, not when it's this blatantly corrupt and manufactured. I wouldn't wish this sort of bullshit on any true money spending football fan.

When we were last in League Two, it was my bag of shyte and no one dared tell me than John Doolan wasn't shit. Now, after everything we've been through to be sat in a worse position with an even poorer team than when I saw us in the basement, there isn't an excuse.

There isn't an excuse for suing fans. There isn't an excuse for why we now have the worst training facilities in the Football League. There isn't an excuse as to why we have the single worst pitch in the Championship last season for two successive seasons. There isn't an excuse as to why we had a concert on the pitch two weeks before our first home game. There isn't an excuse for having a go at fans on twitter and then completely denying it. There isn't an excuse as to why they choose to ignore our largest supporters group and then decide to CHOOSE 8 for a "fans parliament" to represent the fans.

I could go on. But when your football club stops acting like a football club and continues to act against all footballing positivity then people start to get fucked off. It won't stop. Don't expect to play us and something not happen, it's going to get worse before it gets better. The football association and football league have a lot to answer for.

What's his thinking in talking about a 'safe' stadium when I'm pretty sure people have fallen through that fuckin' away end down the years?

John Doolan, a blast from the past! He could pick a pass from a low way off, that's for sure.
Some of that behaviour is very reminiscent of how Stan Flashman was acting in the last couple of years of his chairmanship at ours to be honest. We just about survived it.

we all get them Kurt, they can be ousted in the end and will here because finally the money is drying up and it can dry up very very very fast on the slide.

Of course you just have to hope you can oust him with club still in tact and it not get into an endless collapse.

FA and FL have never had any bottle on anything for as long as I can ever remember, suppose is no rules they can implement.

Thing is, the money won't dry up and it won't affect them until we go out of League One and into League two. The attendances will drop after this season and you will see literally around 2k home fans. It's disgusting. Ripped my club away from me by greed, I wouldn't mind if they took 50% of it for themselves but still did everything we wanted. But fucking Fleetwood are miles ahead of us, FLEETWOOD, no disrespect to them. But they shouldn't be ahead of us. Their stadium is very smart, their training ground is delicious. All because their chairman is speculating to accumulate. Not just accumulate, accumulate and accumulate some more.
