That's a bit unfair. You shouldn't be letting Aguero beat you in the air, but KDB and Kolarov just scored two great goals. Fernando and Aguero's were hardly tap ins either.

Very annoying that City have been so inconsistent this season. At times they have played like that and put teams away but it's been few and far between. The injuries unsettling the side so much hasn't helped, but it's a mystery why they have just not scored more. So many games where they have had the same possession and chances as today - or even better - and come away with a point or nothing.

4th goal a great strike, no question.

KDB's goal was pathetic, did you not see the build up? Embarrassing defensive dithering.

City are plenty bloody good enough without laying chances on a plate for them.

Second half was a bit of a training ground exercise, City dropped a gear and we drew encouragment and improved to make it respectful, probably should have taken one of our openings and scored, but was never likely to make a proper game of it.

Plenty for Howe to ponder though, just need to make sure we learn from these beatings against the good sides.

9 of our starting 11 played for us in league 1 (some like Gradel at different times to the bulk of the squad), but it's absolutely suicidal to line those players up in a 4-4-2. It's so rare that Eddie gets it wrong but I'm amazed he felt that midfield was good enough to compete.

We've done our work on the whole for this season, disappointing way to lose more than anything but there's still another win or two in this season for us

The biggest attribute City have picked up in this era is their response to doubt. They've finished superbly in the final games in the last few years, rallying to go on impressive runs. Unfortunately, you can't write them off.
