Given how abert has been so keen to inform us that Rodgers is a fraud, I can't see Swansea wanting to take one back. Jenkins doesn't take former players back either does he?

How ridiculous. Monk is here for as long as he wants to be here.

It wasn't me.

I've got an alliance with an unnamed mod, might have been him...

I'm sure Laudrup thought the same at one point.
Laudrup hadn't been here from the beginning. I know it's very PL to turn on club idols but Monk has my backing come what may.

Monk still has much to learn but he's a product of the club and embodies what this club is about. He's one of the finest young managers in the world and you should get behind him rather than try to find faults.

Someone should create a poll so we can see who thinks Monk is a fraud. Stand up Abertawe?

A manager being at the club in various capacities for a number of years doesn't mean he's the right man for the job, nor does it mean his ability to do it shouldn't be scrutinised. At the moment he's coming up short. Of course, he could turn it around, but if he doesn't it should be recognised that someone else might be needed rather than saying he has as long as he wants. That doesn't happen in any league when results are shit long term, never mind the top flight.

It must be said Pags, not everyone is as impatient, expectant or trigger happy as Liverpool fans can be!

Monk's history with his club won't mean an infinite amount of patience. But history plus the wider structure of the club that Monk slots into will mean a lot more patience than you might expect.

Plus, what are Swansea's aims? Must certainly 3 worse teams, probably several worse, so they won't go down.

The suggestion that Monk's job is now under threat is as ridiculous as Abertawe (albeit tongue-in-cheek) getting carried away after five games.

I think he's confused. He says how he only bothers with Everton so he can't really talk about what happens in other leagues can he?

Precisely. An infinite amount of patience was what Abertawe effectively said would apply to Monk, and gave his history with the club as the reason. I simply said it doesn't work like that, not that the history has no relevance.

My post about Monk which bumped this thread was equally as tongue-in-cheek, to see how Abertawe would react. I only did it because I know how much he loves Monk and dislikes Rodgers. ;)

Just pointing out you were wrong again, unless you are gona change the quote to ' the last 30 years' of course, you do have history in that regard.
