Can't see Kodjia listed on the Sky Bet top goalscorers odds list.
Tweeted SkyBet, they said the Championship top scorers market will be announced in the coming weeks.

£20 on each way potential returns £332 or if top 4 odds of 6.5, not bad that. Just hope Ivory Coast don't pick him or get knocked out early

I tend to stick to Sky Bet, can't be bothered signing up to loads of sites.

See the west stand isn't open for Pompey. Must be a tad behind.

The only reason I had to go to that game.
In SL's World interview, he did say it would be open for the Wigan game but not finished so I'm not surprised the West isn't open for the Pompey match. I guess it means they will be pushing it for the safety certificate, timewise.

I must say, I've been pretty impressed with our business this summer.

We've come into the market well prepared, which was demonstrated by our pursuit of a winger. We wanted Hammill, he stayed at Barnsley, we wanted Canos, he went to Norwich, but we still had a plan C in O'Dowda.

Last summer we had targets, and when they turned us down we made the same mistakes over and over again in going for similar calibre of players. Like MagpieBee said the other day, plenty of deals fall through for various reasons, especially when you're competing with the bigger sides in the league such is the standard of player we're after.

So far, so good. Three more and we'll be good to go.

Are we going to 'box in' the framework at the Atyeo end? I also understood a Jumbotron was going in that corner for the rugby boys?
No idea, hopefully.

I do hope they light the backs of the stands up in red or Bristol blue, when each side is playing.
Yeah. A lick of paint was needed but feel a bit uncomfortable about going from red to white

I know what you mean as it's very 'neutral' but it was looking a bit tatty in comparison to the South stand. Can we assume the Atyeo will be repainted as well then?
I also noticed the tunnel is still there in the Atyeo, would anybody know if that's because the new facilities may not be ready? I would have thought that would have been covered with terracing / seating.

Just been thinking about this possible bid for Mawson and how we would fit everyone in.
Does this work?
--------------------------ROD
--------------------------Flint
------------Mawson--------------Magnusson
Matthews--------------------------------------------Golbourne
------------------------O'Neill------------------------------
O'Dowda--------------------------Bryan
-----------------------Tomlin
-----------------------Kodjia

I guess it might be just a better safe than sorry type thing, wait until they know for sure the dressing rooms and facilities will all be ready in the Williams just in case

That looks very open to me, with just the one DM protecting a back 3. I mean 3 at the back can work in this league even if it didn't for us the way we played it under Cotterill, just look at Hull or Watford or Preston even. But I think Johnson seems to be building the squad around the idea of a 4231, and if we get Mawson it will be as cover/competition for Flint and Magnusson

Totally agree it's far too open. My only concern would be if Mawson is a replacement for Flinty. That's a massive hole to fill (excuse the pun).

I know :err: Worry is if Newcastle do want him, they'll pay what it takes. Especially now Liverpool are supposedly interested in Wijnaldum, Juve considering Sissoko as a possible replacement for Pogba - they're not going to be struggling for cash.

Hope they go for Hanley instead :shut:

Few people on the Facebook page saying the new stand isn't going to be ready in time for the new season. We'll see, of course there was this speculation this year with the south stand. Hope it's not an issue.

A friend of mine has been on site at various times over the last few months and says there's no way it'll be ready for the first game. I'm hoping he is exaggerating but I've seen a couple of pictures of the dug outs/ tunnel and changing rooms and they all look a long way off. Not surprising what with the Wigan tickets still not on sale.

A PR nightmare. We do seem to make a habit of dropping the ball on various things..

I suppose we'd have to play the game at Wigan's place, but it's very short notice. I'm sure they'll be working day and night to make sure it's fine for the opening day.

We'd probably have had to request a fixture reversal already if we wanted it, then police would have a say on when the reverse game would be played (likely a Sunday seeing as Rovers are at home) but yeah it would have had to been discussed already you'd imagine for policing at Wigan's end to be sorted too.

Just seen some of those views after CU mentioned it on one of our threads. Is that how it's going to end up?! That's actually worse than some of the views you can get at our mess of a ground! Still overall the ground looks lovely, is that just a disadvantage of having to redo the Gate and the less space you had to work with?
