Just seen some of those views after CU mentioned it on one of our threads. Is that how it's going to end up?! That's actually worse than some of the views you can get at our mess of a ground! Still overall the ground looks lovely, is that just a disadvantage of having to redo the Gate and the less space you had to work with?
No, it's a monumental fook up by the looks of it! If you knew where that was in the new stand, apart from removing the seats, I can't see what we can do about it either.

By the looks of it you'll just about be able to see the goal line, won't be much of a view but should still be able to see it. When you compare where the goal line is in comparison to the Dolman.

I disagree mate.
My seat on the wall where the Dolman meets the South stand last year, back row, so pretty much in line with those seats. The South stand goal was quite a way to my left so I don't think you would be able to see the 6 yard line from those seats let alone the goal / goal line.

I'm guessing those will be classed as the 'cheap' seats?

It's a case of how the picture was taken, its pretty much all the way over to the right of the seat as well as potentially behind the seat, can't see if they took it from a row of seats, but even so another seat over at that level would give a bit more of a view. Definitely won't be able to see the near corner imo, but the goal may just be view-able.

You've missed the boat on a fixture reversal, if you wanted that, then you should have requested it weeks ago like Liverpool did with Burnley. Now many Wigan fans including myself have booked our trains for the match. The game will go ahead whether your upper tier is ready or not. You've only got yourselves to blame for lost revenue.

By the looks of those restricted view pictures, someone should be getting sacked very soon. What a monumental balls up!

I don't understand why some people on OTIB are upset about a Bristol rugby blue, away shirt. The gas play in blue and white, and we still have white in our shirts.

As long as it's a very dark blue like Bris, I have no problem.

It's not the upper tier that's not ready, it's the whole interior of the stand. If we want the fixture to be swapped I imagine we'll have sorted it a few weeks back.

Won't matter this season anyway, plenty of time to fix it

I don't see how this can be fixed Tom. The wall is the outside wall of the upper tier and it's 30m up in the air. I can only guess that we would have to take the outermost seats out to form another gangway.
This gives an idea of the issue when linking the previous image. It's certainly extremely tight re viewing lines.
The only saving grace is that the upper tier will hardly be used this season.

I totally agree. I have no issue with a 'Bristol blue' shirt, a la Bristol rugby, but would be seething if we used royal (ie gas) blue. They wouldn't be that daft would they?

Royal blue would be a big no no for me too. With this football club I wouldn't rule it out!

SL did talk about this in his 'catchup' interview last week. The consensus is that it will be 'open but by no means finished'. I was expecting it to be like the South stand last year but the West doesn't appear to be anywhere near the point at which the SS was this time last year.

Villa sniffing round Kodija apparently. Don't see how we can keep him if he wants to go. Just hope LJ has strikers in mind if he goes.

Ah the memories on YouTube. I even own that shirt still! Remember going to the reverse game down the Gate and they gave us quite the thrashing.

'Buree is from Wells, muh would have an eadfit! – However, he’s Welsh, and therefore my mother would disapprove'

I object to this one.....

I'm actually agreeing with Andy Stockhausen! :eyes: Currently, given Korey is suspended and injured, our current strongest 11.(4-2-3-1)..

Richard O'Donnell

Luke Ayling Aden Flint Hordur Magnusson Scott Golbourne

Gary O'Neil Marlon Pack

Bobby Reid Lee Tomlin Joe Bryan

Jonathan Kodjia

I was thinking about Mark Little for Luke Ayling but think Ayling is a better defender and was toying with COD instead of Bobby Reid but I haven't seen the kid yet and Bobby finished the season strongly. I appreciate we have probably got another few new faces but this would be my 11 for Wigan at the mo.

Just the Dolman roof needing another coat of white.

Do wish they'd hurry up and release the new away kit, might actually buy one this year. Please be purple and lime/green again.
