Out of interest how has Brownhill looked so far for you?
Going down to our friendly at home to Pompey tomorrow, so I'll let you know how he plays if he features at all.

Queues for tickets are absolutely ridiculous today, I'm halfway up Ashton Road with 12 minutes until kickoff.

That West Stand, wow! Wish I was going to the Wigan game next week, but I can only afford 1 of Wigan, Newcastle or Villa, and it'll probably one of the latter 2.

Bristol City fan Kevin Friend in the middle today; about the most interesting thing I've spotted in this game so far.

I'm not a fan of how far away the pitch is these days, don't want away players to feel too comfortable here.

That was terrible but the West Stand looks good at least.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

As I said in the other thread, one of the dullest games I've ever watched.

First half was awful, nothing going forwards and no sort of tempo. O'Dowda is ridiculously left footed, there's no point in sticking him on the right because if he beats his man he doesn't know what to do with it.

Bryan isn't a left winger, would much rather him at full back next week behind O'Dowda, instead of the very shaky Scott Golbourne.

Tomlin was pretty ineffectual, Kodjia didn't have much to work with, but our best player I thought was Magnusson. Looked like he'd been playing English football for the last 15 years. Very assured, strong and set the example.

Pompey will do very well this season, a lot of stuff that's easy on the eye.

Can't read too much into that game, given that it was played at a training ground tempo, but to a man we were pretty poor.

Meh couldn't care less with it being a friendly. Be alot more worried if we perform like that next weekend.

Oh and the club can stick their booking fee up their ass, robbing bastards.

Thanks to JJH and Ciderup for offering to help with tickets! Luckily I've managed to get one today after sales re-opened. The last time I saw Ashton Gate, the Williams was still standing and the east end was a pile of rubble... and we were a division lower. I feel like a kid at Christmas, I really can't wait!

Think we will have 18K tops on Saturday then with no sales in the West stand. Add to the fact people are struggling to purchase online ( that booking fee worth every penny I see) and them going on sale so late it wouldn't surprise me if it's less than that.

A shame that it wasn't ready, fingers crossed it will be for Villa and Newcastle and the club can really try and push sales.

Christ, what a change that is. An arena is needed in Bristol. When are the plans for the other stand behind the goal?

At the moment we can't redevelop that stand because of a right to light issue for the residents of the house behind (or something along those lines). There are rumours that Lansdown has been buying them one by one under other names so that something could happen in the future, but as far as I'm aware these are nothing more than rumours.

I deliberately didn't buy a home shirt in May as I was waiting for the away shirt. The day before the start of the season and still no away shirt released, so I won't bother with either this year, as they'll be out of date come May.

I'm more likely to buy a Bristol shirt now they're back in the Permiership tbh, and their season doesn't start for a month. Already got my ticket for the double header at Twickenham :)

Chelsea youngster Abraham signed on then!! I'm genuinely really excited by the talent we'll have at Ashton Gate this season. We've now signed players from Juventus, Bayern Munich and Chelsea as well as 2 players who were in Premiership squads last season. Of course we can't match up to our friends up the road (the sixth richest club in the country) who have signed a Port Vale reject on a free transfer but hey. I think we'll have lots to enjoy this year.

If you're referring to Abraham not playing for Chelsea, then you would be wrong. Played in the last 2 games for them last season.

So the club aren't allowed to wear the shirts with hashtags on during games so will make one without hashtags, all replicas will have the on still though
Though the club have also announced its our best selling shirt to date!
