Yes, they had talent and the guy who scored their winning goal was very, very quick and a big reason they scored two goals and forced two mistakes with his pace. The player they had playing as a number 10 was also very good for 60mins I thought before being subbed.

But they were weak at set plays and let us have the ball most of the time, relying on counter attacks and transition with their obvious pace, towards the end they shit themselves quite badly I thought and another side with a bit more confidence would've at least got a draw.

From what ive seen pretty much all the U21's sides have been woeful in defence especially set plays. Spurs and West Ham being the best of the bunch going forward.
Crystal Palace were just a bunch of dirty thugs trying to make a name of themselves.

Squeaked through against Salford with a very disjointed performance by our fringe players who looked every inch a team thrown together (we started with two wing backs amongst our midfield three).

The main silver lining was Mullin scored a good goal and got an extended chunk of time on the pitch so should be back to the first team soon.

Sent a glass eye to sleep, it devoid of any real quality from either side. Good to get a win as its keeping momentum but no-one in the fringes have done anything to give PP a real dilemma for a starting place on Monday.

First week of the season we were on 3 times, then this is the last game on tele for a couple of months till we play Mansfield. Apart from these games and Monday, we've been fortunate to not have too many disrupted.

Monday though will be a love-in with our and Brum's owners as they are all coming over. I'll be there though.

Don't think you're getting away with that Mullin Deadpool mask Wrexham fans. Where is the L1 Tinpot thread? Utterly horrific scenes.

On one hand, it would have been obvious for him to do it. When they announce the scorer on the scoreboard, they use the Welshpool photo they put on the club website. It's only for a laugh, but on the other, keep football away from Hollywood lol.

Would appear that Spurs have sold about 300-350 for the game with us and their U21’s on the 24th. Opened the big bank for home fans too, so looks like there’s gonna be a half decent crowd there, annoyingly.

We had 2000+ for the Arsenal U21 game, half the crowd were Gooners - Mainly families etc, but also at £1 for U18s that will bring out alot of the locals who support Arsenal.

We had over 3000 when we played Arsenal a couple of seasons ago, just a couple of weeks after we had less than a thousand for Forest Green.
Definitely won't be watching Spurs though

A useful game against Cambridge to try out some different players. No tall player up front meant less lumping the ball up and we actually played some decent stuff relative to normal. Terry Taylor stand out player from yesterday, thought he looked excellent. Was very highly rated when he joined, injured all of last season and looks surplus to requirements this but I'd like to see him get some game time in the league.

Lost to Bradford, obviously not bothered and cannot wait to be out but the starting eleven does highlight our lack of depth, I actually think it’s less than it was last season.

Our game against Man City has been switched to November because presumably some of their U21's will be involved in the first team game against Watford in the Carabao Cup.

That didn't apply to Everton last night, who faced us & Southampton (then again since when do city ever have to face the normal rules)

Everton don't have quite so many fixtures though

Away end terrace now open too, due to 'high demand from Spurs fans' - So looking at 3 stands open throughout the ground, can see it being about 3000 ala the Arsenal game couple years ago

I see Rovers are charging 15 quid for our match.
Presume they don't want any fans there

Only 15 minutes of each game is worth seeing at the moment. Good thinking as they may only need to open one side of the ground

Terribly sorry for letting the side down tonight.
Still, turns the game Vs the Gas into a dead rubber - for us anyway.
Wonder how many Grecians will be arsed to shell out 15 notes now for that one?

Broke a club record by bringing on 42 year old David Perkins as a sub in the 62nd minute.
Fitted in amongst all our 16 and 17 year old. Still managed to win at a canter, Spurs kids are awful

They were decent against us (of course they would, we are awful) but they did have 2 of their best players out against you I see

A very clever chap on exeweb pointed out that the prize money for this is 1.95mn. The prize money for the new national league equivalent is 1mn. But that is split between 16 clubs, compared to the BSM which is split between 64 clubs.

Whoever negotiated our deal is a muppet.

Christ considering how moronic the people who run the national league are, this really speaks volumes.

I'm sure I read somewhere that all VNL clubs (including N+S) get a share of the bribe money. More of it goes to those who actually compete, but still, that's how they got enough support for it.

Should be a straight knock-out, no fucking around like the old days. Of course the powers that be will have to pamper to the big clubs so their kids get a guaranteed 3 games against league opposition.

Another reason to dislike Wrexham Shaun Harvey
