We've got Accrington and Tranmere.

Bollocks the B team. Why do they have to draw that later? Prem clubs already have their fixture lists

We took it seriously last year (for the first time possibly ever?) but that was because we were so dire in the league.

Hoping we can go back to treating it with the apathy it deserves this time around.

We’ve drawn Colchester and then not one but two illegitimate fixtures. Lucky us.

Bromley and Cambridge. Really hope Bromley is the away game. Never thought I'd see us play them

Really thought someone would show common sense and put these on during international breaks so clubs didn't have to cancel League games.

But no. Won't be going to any of them.

And Man City U21's.

Looking forward to seeing Scott Carson between the sticks.

We’ve got Crawley, AFCW and Brighton kids.

Can’t imagine I’ll be watching any of these unless it turns out that we have any development squad kids that are worth keeping an eye out for - pretty much the only interest I have at this stage is if there’s any promising fringe players.

The other possibility is that some of the Brighton kids may be worth pinching on loan for a bit, we did that last season - a West Ham kid scored a banger against us, then we got him on loan later that week.

First game tonight if anyone gives a toss. We have Spurs U21. Thrilling...

Seen some decent players playing for the opposition in this though, such as Declan Rice and Billy Gilmour

Bit weird, having half the competition starting now, and the other half starting in October. What a tinpot joke!

We have the carrier bags u21 this week and their over 21 in the Carabao cup next.

I will look up our team before deciding on whether to go. If the fringe are in I might pop along. Front two of Faal and Showuni.

The lad Mikey Moore of Spurs is going to be a top top player.
Only turned 17 last month and was the best player on the pitch tonight by far.

Caught bits of our game, somehow managed to lose 2-0 despite completely controlling the game. Referee missed about three blatant penalties too, same referee that gave Wrexham a penalty against us last season despite it not being in the box.

Fortunately nobody really cares about it tonight!

It must have been a yard outside, awful decision, McClean deserved to walk about two minutes in on a tackle on Hewitt too.

If anyone is unfortunate enough to get Scott Jackson as referee, good luck.

That one at wrexham was ridiculous - i look forward to having one like that in our favour in the near future.

Mansfield play some pretty football and will be a problem for a lot of sides this season.

For once, Jordon Huggill took our chances well and it was a good game to get the squad players plenty of minutes on the pitch.

The ref was poor for both sides, he could have sent Mclaughlin off for bringing down Wilkes when he was through on goal at the end if the first half.

Then he sent MacDonald off when it was no more than a yellow at worst.
He knew he got it wrong because he gave us just about every decision after that

I hope we never see him again as I'm sure you do too.

Both maccas potentially sent off.

The penalties were howlers.

At least a yard. McClean was a 50 50 from where I was and a yellow at worst.

They should even themselves out throughout the course of a season.

Glad we experienced him in a pointless cup game than a league game, when you’ve both sets of fans howling at him for being shit you know there’s something not quite right….

Shame we took nearly 700 to rotherham, the fans should hold their heads in shame

Did we really? That’s genuinely embarrassing, Wrexhamesque not quite but still.

Two long range goals for us. Two defensive howlers for their goals. We won after penalties last night.

Rohan Darcy got an injury in the last minute. Could be out for six weeks!

We have a bit of an injury crisis. Didn't fill the bench last night. Always a worrying sign.

Are we Mansfield in disguise?

Don't forget we haven't played Mansfield at NYS, it was a chance for families to go and tick a ground off, particularly those that probably won't get a ticket for the league game.

I'm not sure why fans should be shamed for supporting their club TBH.

A debate to be had on stagsnet, for me i will never attend a game that involved B teams as they’re allowing fans to be accustomed to it and doing it by stealth.

Fans are sleepwalking into it and it’ll just be the case they’ll tip us over and rub our bellies, it’s a no, no and no.

If you want to support your club do it properly and don’t support something which is designed to screw you over long term.

My view, as you can tell im strongly against it, but fans have their own right to make their decisions and some might think im wrong.

either way its a slippery slope and fans endorsing this nonsense is a bad look.
