If tickets were £10 we would probably get about 8000 in, come ko we will probably have 7000 tonight so it makes no sense to reduce ticket prices. It's not as if we've put prices up, there just normal price. Cash in I say.
Cash in? Are you the clubs accountant? The meagre increase in profit will not even make a dent in the sizeable losses the club makes year on year. Hey, if the extra profit generated helps fund a defender, I'll be happy. If it's being used to take a few % off the huge annual losses, then why bother?

I mean, is it worth pissing off some of your core fan base, fans who've been through mostly shite for the last decade or so and still pay their £300 quid every season? Or worth turning away the casual support that might have come down, seen this game, been impressed and fancied coming back on Saturday or in the future?

Cash in on the casuals and away fans? Sure, I can buy that. But why slam season ticket holders with full price? You should reward your base, not treat them the same as someone who comes to 2-3 games a season.

Oh well, it'll all settle down soon. Just hope we don't get hammered, injuries or suspensions. Could do with avoiding that ahead of Saturday.

I think that villa would have to agree to any price change in this cup wouldn’t they? It could be that they have said no changes.

Crawley is a sell out tonight...or all but a few.

Don't know what team Norwich are putting out...I don't know what team we are putting out but with a big crowd we always disappoint ( time for a change maybe?).

But this is something I've never got. If one team wants a reduction and the other team says no, who gets the deciding vote? And I just can't see Villa demanding we keep it at £22. They have just gotten back into the PL cash pool, are they really going to fight with a L2 club over some marginal difference in ticket profits? I'd be very surprised.

I would agree but if they have a policy and have always done it this way then maybe they are just sticking by it. If that was the case though I don’t see why Crewe wouldn’t come out and say this to take the ‘heat’ off themselves.

Not sure McMahon is too fussed about winning this, possibly using it more as a chance to check out fringe players (odd when tinpot cup coming up).

Unless both teams agree on a reduction the price will stay as normal.

Unchanged line up and bench for us which I'm surprised by. I'd have thought this could be an opportunity for players like Carroll, McKirdy and Sorenson to stake a claim

The only guarantees in life are death, taxes and Norwich losing to a League 2 side.

We've fucked it already. 2-0 down to Rochdale.

Sounds like we've been the better side; Rochdale took an early lead from a 25-yard pearler and then a mistake from Webster lets them in for 2-0 and if we do continue to play well the damage is already done.

This defence is starting to be a real concern. Conceding 2 goals is becoming the norm. This is the cup so not the end of the world tonight, but long term we will finish bottom if we carry on conceding 2 or more goals every single match.

It’s frustrating because with the signings we made the week before the season started we actually look a decent enough team on the ball, we’re just fucking useless off the ball which is a big fucking worry.

Sounds like it's been a decent first half at Palace against a pretty strong side. Settled into the game quite well and have had glimpses of our own.

This is getting called off. Worst conditions I have ever seen in football. You can barely see because of the rain. Turned so quickly it’s unreal.

Our subs have ventured out, ball is not rolling particularly smoothly in places! How quickly does it drain? Straight to pens right now i suggest!

Dazza Mac knew this would happen, thats why he started the game with two left backs, and 6 central midfielders.

Straight to pens. Lose. No mither. Everyone's happy.

I guess it was inevitable this would happen. The EFL have basically admitted they made a major fuck up in that we should have been on TV so they've taken the decision to call the game off following a 5 minute drizzle to ensure a full global audience gets to see the Mariners and the Silks go hell for leather for that place in the 3rd round draw away at Crawley.

We've got one back through a penalty. However a couple of injuries after making all our subs means we're down to nine men potentially (ten men definitely)

UPDATE: We've ten men on the pitch but only nine men actually playing.
UPDATE: Make that eight... we're dropping like flies.

We've got a penalty shoot-out at Palace after a 0-0 draw.

Lost 2-1.

Once again we concede two goals early in the game and then the second half is all about whether we can get back into it. Signs of improvement at least on this occasion. Against Mansfield and Cheltenham we could have played all night and not got back into it, whereas here we did get a goal back and might have gotten two had we kept 10 men on the pitch.

18-year-old Noah Chilvers steps up to bury the winning penalty on his third cameo appearance.

All five penalties scored and a win away at a top-flight stadium - great result!
