Oh yes Mansfield. Wow well what can you say? I expected this kind of superb start in the league, but to carry that 100% record through into the League Cup really is something.

What's going on Carlisle fans, I thought your lot were supposed to be dreadful?!
We were pretty dreadful against Swindon. Got some decent players though, McKirdy looks a find so he'll be gone next summer.

Barnsley were useless last night, they had 73% possession but it didn't sound like we really put them under any pressure, just let them have it and only step in if they got a little close to our goal for comfort. Probably as good as a rest for our players.

We might have an outside chance of getting on TV vs Villa at home. But probably a couple other ties ahead of ours.

Lincoln Vs Everton - 100% will be a TV game.
Newport Vs West Ham - Newport are good value for a cup shock.
Forest Vs Derby - big rivalry
Newcastle Vs Leicester - two decent sized premier League teams facing each other
For me Crewe ought to be Sky, how many cup games on TV do Newport need !!!

Lincoln and Crewe for me all day long. Think the cameras always like the possibility of a shock so don't think the other 2 you suggested will be considered.

For me it's 2 from 3 for TV with you and Lincoln getting the dosh.

Surely there's no way that el Cloughico won't be one of the live games

Yeah I'm tired of Newport getting all these big team draws every year now and yet we always get shit draws.

We knocked out Barnsley 3-0 away who had not lost at home for 17 months and we are rewarded with a second round tie away at Rochdale FFS!!

So uninspiring.

Not sure exactly the year but to summise, we had one of the worst records of all clubs in this competition. Hadn't been past the 2nd round for years.
Beat both Sheffield clubs who were higher ranked. made the 3rd round.
The excitement as the draw was made, will it be Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal.

Scunthorpe away in front of 3300 and we lost !!!

You're doing the Keith Hill tour. Beat Rochdale away and you'll get Morecambe after that.

We are in the bottom six of L2 teams with the lowest budgets and we always seem to have shit 2nd half of the seasons after the January transfer window, so you can see why we get so depressed easily.

So unless we actually see the whole of the season through as a good team then don't expect us to get our hopes up.

Then they got Man City after doing us in extra time!

I actually was mad enough to go Scunny for that game! The Sheffield games were awesome, Wednesday fans were taunting the Blunts for losing to us... then we beat them in the next round! That was the game when Franny Jeffers was crazy enough to nut Tommy Fraser and split his head open whilst hardman Tommy Fraser didnt even have a bloody lip!

You should be pleased that you're not overspending. Imagine spending all that money and failing to go up like Mansfield, or getting relegated like Bradford or Scunny.

1,595 in attendance. Christ, how many turn up for their Winky Wanky Cup games?

To be fair, the lower the attendance in that competition, the better. Couldn’t have been prouder when we set our record-low attendance a few years back.

Plymouth will have a shot at winning the division, but my worst fears about this Orient side are being realised. Complete lack of quality in key positions. Going to be a long old season.

The worst for us was in 2011 when we made the FA Cup 3rd round where us and Torquay were 2 of the last balls to be drawn out and it's us who get drawn away and of course we get knocked out. :ffs:

Decent chance for us to make the 3rd round and draw a really big (reserves) fish but history is definitely against us.

Rather surprisingly Macc have won at Blundell Park on their last 5 and are unbeaten in their last 9 visits so we'll need to break that hoodoo to progress.

2 games Brakespear has officiated this season - 12 yellows and 5 reds.

This buffoon needs binning.

Quite good for acca purposes though.

Worth looking at the card markets for Tranmere v Bolton this weekend.

Apparently that's the 39th time we have gone out in the first round of the league cup. We could get drawn against the fox and hound and lose in this competition.

How much is the TV money? Enough for a loan defender?
