Lost 3-0 at Col U after having Yates sent off and conceding two in stoppage time. They had a man dismissed in the same incident. A situation which seemingly could have been resolved with two yellows. Sounds like we edged the game up until the red cards. One of those nights.

Struggling for bodies up front for Exeter now.

Arranged as part of the Stuart Fleetwood deal, and the second last home game under Jim Harvey I think, before he was sacked just before our friendly v Leeds later that pre-season for talking to Cambridge/Stevenage.

Andy Mangan scored two just before his 6 month betting ban kicked in.

We were in a bit of financial shit back then, never thought we'd be playing a league cup tie at your place.

Well i was half right ;)

We were 1-0 up at Blackburn, looking fairly comfortable and defending well, then they brought Dack on, who killed us. 1-1, but we scored again on the break, then conceded in 90+2, 90+6, oof. Could have done with that win for the confidence as much as anything else.

Think we win that if Wheater was fit. Hopefully back Saturday.

Lost to Morecambe in penalties.

Something is seriously wrong, three games this season we have conceded six goals, including 4 against Morecambe and 5 that were all early in the first half.

By the way, does anyone know why Portsmouth played last week?
Sky show two from Round One, so would have been one tonight one tomorrow. But UEFA enforce having no domestic football on TV on Champs League/Europa/Super Cup nights.

I’d have been upset if we’d got a decent draw in the next round anyway.....!

We are effing dreadful away from home - 3-0 was harsh on Bristol Rovers.

If you like a flutter put everything you have on Morecambe pasting us on Saturday - we've scored 6 times away from home in 2019, 3 of those were against Crewe.

Of course... can't risk a fixture clash between Portsmouth v Birmingham in the first round of the Carabao Cup and Saburtalo v Ararat-Armenia in the third qualifying round of the Europa League

Last ball out for the second successive round, this time a money-spinning away draw to Rochdale... again! Can't remember exactly when we last played Rochdale in a cup but feels like about two weeks ago.

Morecambe fans must be giddy with excitement.
They have drawn us away.
At least we can save on stewarding and put the morecambe fans in the main stand as it's the only one we will bother opening.

This is what we all support our teams for. The sheer ecstacy of seeing your team win a penalty shoot-out at a side in a higher league. The pulsating and nervous wait for the 2nd round draw, and receiving the plum draw that everyone else in the draw was hoping for - Grimsby away.

Jealousy will get you all nowhere.

Great win and a decent draw at home to Villa. Hopefully get a decent crowd in for that

We played them at home in the FA Cup 2nd round 3 seasons ago and got beat 2-0.

Doesn't matter Shoddy, we will beat them and then get Man Utd away in the 3rd round. ;)

Home to Reading. Should be a good test and will hopefully attract more than just the 5500 that were at Home Park tonight.

Conceded 3 penalty's (one saved) equalised in the last min with a penalty then won on penalty's you couldn't make it up.

The only thing I’d say is that although they’ll be slight favourites, it is winnable. We’ve got a 500 mile round trip to Swansea to look forward to. Tough.

Given your record at Blundell Park you should be delighted with that draw.

Deserved loss, Plymouth will take some stopping this season, easily the better side.

We look good in possession, but are extremely wasteful in the final third and rarely got off any shots.

Plymouth should’ve been ahead long before they scored and took their foot off the gas at 2-0, we just didn’t have the nous. Our team solid team structure from last season has gone.

Fwiw I agree with the sentiment, but it's the Super Cup between Liverpool and Chelsea tomorrow.

Having beaten a Championship team for the first time in our history, we now get a crack at a Prem side for the first time. Scenes.

You didn't technically beat us, it will go down as a draw. You won on the lottery of pens.

True. First time we've ever drawn with a Championship side then. ;)

All the best for the season, be nice to see you do well always been a decent club. Doubt your fans will care about this result tbh, but we're bloody ecstatic.
