Rufio! Pretty much forgot they existed.

Only got chance to listen to the latest Wonder Years song a couple of times last night from what I heard I liked it.

Wonder Years album leaked. Apparently Spotify and a few other places fucked up and releases it early.

I've got a version that is awful quality but 6 songs in and it is awesome.

Musically some songs are their most pop-punk since Upsides but also some are their most progressive and heavy.

Lyrically it is very, very dark. A lot of references to American culture in regards to guns/drugs etc. Also, a song about miscarriage which I'm certain is based on his own experience.

Lots of references to older songs as expected.

Neck Deep become the latest band in a bit of a sticky situation regarding band members and underage girls. Oh dear.

Now I've had chance to listen to the new Wonder Years album a few times my verdict is that it is a pretty solid album. Littered with catchy, dark pop punk songs. Get serious early Bayside vibes from some of it as well as some mid 2000's Brand New.

I must agree that latest State Champs song is very catchy. Again, sounding very early Fireworks. Especially his voice. The only thing that lets them down is their lyrics aren't great.

Handguns.

I think somebody has posted about these before but I could never get into them. However, Life Lessons is a solid album.

They've released an album teaser for their next album which comes out in November which also sounds decent.

You're going back a bit there with the someone likes Handguns comment, Dave. Pretty sure it was one of either HC or Hoodrat in the TFF thread and they were banned way before the TFF admins spat their dummies out! Good tune choice though, like yourself I never really got into them. I think I tried to listen to them around the same time I discovered Daggermouth and just didn't like them as much. Same thing happened with No Trigger too, who I listened to recently and enjoyed more than I remember previously doing.

I also still stand by what I said about Under Soil and Dirt being one of the best pop punk albums of the last 5 years or so (pretty sure you disagreed with that when I said it before), so nice to see you're coming round. Not overly keen on the subsequent output though.

One of their earlier songs that deserves a bit more love than it gets too...

High Regard is one of the best pop punk tunes of all time ever too.

Under Soil and Dirt is their best effort. Few good songs on the What You Don't See album but not keen on their latest one. Maybe I will like it in a few years.

I saw No Trigger circa 2006 supporting Set Your Goals.

Wow! This is really, really good. I think the reason I never got into these guys is because I listened to their first album that has their old vocalist on. Life Lessons and this new one is the new guy who has a very good voice. Sounds like it has gotten even better since Life Lessons came out.

The lyrics of this song (as plain and sime as they are) could not describe my life any better!

Anti-Flag, anybody?

More pop-punk than punk-rock I would say. Very political and very left wing.

1 Trillion Dollars is an incredible song. Bit different to their other stuff, though. Check out 'Turncoat', 'Rank N File' and '911 For Peace'.

Saw a video of them back in 2011 at the Occupy Wall Street demo. The singer is very intelligent and speaks a lot of sense.

I've heard of them but never heard any of their stuff. Just listened to Turncoat and quite like it so I'm going to listen to a load of other stuff tomorrow at work, thanks Dave.

No problem. A band I used to love in the early-mid 2000's. Always thought the lead singer (stage name: Justin Sane) had a very distinctive voice.

I remember having a New Red Archives sampler back in the day that was a really weird mix, including Samiam, UK Subs, Swingin' Utters, No Use For a Name, Christ on a Crutch and Jack Off Jill among others. Anyway, one of my favourites on there was Die For the Government by Anti Flag. That's probably still my favourite song by them. Haven't listened to loads of their new stuff though. I didn't really like the direction they were going with that album that had The Press Corpse on it. The album before that was half new songs/half live old songs. I used to rinse the live section of that album though, as it was basically all of their best songs back to back up until that point.

Giving new State Champs a spin.

Solid pop punk album. Something so infectious about Derek's voice.
