And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why we got rid of Andrej Kramaric.
What a lazy, fucking shit penalty that was. He'll play tougher passes to teammates than that.

Bah Salah, yer better than that. That ball is on though, he's been looking for it.

It was bloody harsh, and hardly a disaster, which you'd know all about with Newcastle.

Ok, so you admit my opinion holds more weight. Appreciate that Salty mate.

He got away with a clear handball 2 minutes before that clumsy foul. Shocking player.

The defender did bloody well to catch him up from Salahs head start to be fair.

Didn't see that, only just in and missed the opening 8 mins or so.

Yeah he never made Salah comfortable and he rushed the shot because of it. He'll get other chances though I'm sure.

If only Coutinho hadn't thrown his toys out the pram, he'd have ran the show tonight by the early looks of things.

So sloppy from Liverpool, they can barely still two passes together.

Liverpool have to change the way they press. Can't just keep letting them ping those balls behind the defence, their back line it too shit to defend against that all night.

We improved defensively as we went on last season; its all over the place just now, but it'll settle down - particularly if they sign a certain monster CB.

Hoffenheim have been the better side, in control of the game but are conspiring to fuck it up so far.

Liverpool have been sloppy but look dangerous on the counter.

And we've had the better chances. An away goal and room to improve in the second half, I'll take that currently.

I'd say the penalty was the best chance but that was awfully taken!

The away goal is important but you were always going to get one, it's whether or not your dodgy defence and keeper can keep it tight at the other end. So far they have done with a lot of luck.

The caveat being "If things stay the same" with regards the personnel.
That defence is just way too poor. But for an absolutely shite penalty the scores would be level and Hoffenheim have been the better side I think, but only because they can actually defend.

Hoffenheim are better at retaining the ball than anyone in the Prem imo, they're very impressive. That said, they haven't created all that much aside from the pen*. Mignolet has saved half of the pens he's faced in a Liverpool shirt, which is quite an impressive stat.

Also, this forum hasn't got behind a foreign team like this since Barca in the 09 final. Good to see.

* Gnabry deliberately runs into Lovren. If Lovren stands completely still (which he almost does), Gnabry is still gonna fall over. Not a pen.
