Stoke made a loss of £91m in the S20 season. Are the EFL ever going to get a grip on FFP? Based on the tariff, doesn’t that equate to like a 50 point deduction?

Luton v Watford was the most watched match on iFollow last season. Only two teams were watched more than Luton last season also which is surprising.

Perhaps our friends at Sky could start showing a few more of our games rather than Luton v Millwall all the time.

And that is with us not using the Ifollow thing as we had our own in house set up.

Wow, 100 grand and a “warning” for cooking the books.

What they did to us was try to kill us off and these guys cook the books to the tune of millions and they get that? Absolutely embarrassing

Just seen West Brom have taken Ismael from Barnsley. Thats an interesting one, you wonder how he could go about recreating that style Barnsley had with a side where the expectation will be to get promoted at the first time of asking.

Intrigued to see who Barnsley get in to replace him, they have had some decent appointments in recent times.

Barnsley have gone for another manager from Austria in Markus Schopp. Seem to have found themselves a little niche there in getting up and coming coaches from there.

Peter Ridsdale appointed on the EFL Board haha.

In fairness, he's done a good job here without much to work with.

Or he is completely an unfit and improper person to hold this role. Yet voted on by the clubs themselves; proof again that they cannot be trusted to run the show.

Who better to know how not to run a club though?

As I say, he's been here for almost 10 years and he's run a tight ship. Hard to say he hasn't learnt from his fuck ups and dodgy dealings.

Always been very outspoken when the Prem has tried to shaft the FL.

Club has announced that Mick Harford will be taking some time away from the club as he is due to undergo radiotherapy to fight Prostate Cancer.

Sad news but its Big Mick, everyone is pulling for him and if there’s a bloke who would battle his way back to top form it’s him

After moaning about not having enough senior players, Wayne Rooney has injured Jason Knight for 12 weeks after tackling him in training.

Rooney is way out of his depth there. A really strong championship manager is needed to save them on the pitch and even that may not be enough if the off pitch matters reach a head.

We've brought back our reserve team, hopefully going down the development team route like clubs who have entered the 2020's.

What do we reckon crowds will be like this season?

Up because people have missed live football?

Or down because of COVID fears and people getting comfortable watching on Ifollow?

I've really no idea what to expect.

I could see away crowds being down but home crowds being up perhaps. Probably a bit nonsensical in terms of my thinking of it but I’m still a little bit wary of travelling cross country or going on public transport with the current situation. Can see myself going to fewer away games as a result.

Russell Martin appointed at Swansea. Seems a bit of a strange move to me, won a lot of plaudits last season with MK for the football and style played, seemed to finish strong and looked well set to give it a go this season.

Swansea are coming to the end of parachute payments, lost some key players and let Cooper walk out because the owners weren’t going to back him how he wanted. Personally think he’d have been better staying at MK and backing up the good football with a promotion on his CV. Maybe thinks his stock his high now so got to take the opportunity as we all know what a fickle thing it can be. Seems a bit NJ to Stoke to me though, a little premature.

Certainly interested to see how he does with them, given the Norwich connection and his stated desire to manage us one day in the future. It definitely feels a tad premature and like he's on a hiding to nothing somewhat, given Swansea are now working on a much lower budget than they've had for a few years while fan and board expectations probably haven't adjusted yet.

Hope he can do well, but do feel he'd have been better staying at MK Dons for one more season before jumping to a Championship role.

Reading going to be deducted 9 points now as well too. Some chickens coming home to roost this season, they have had an absurd turnover to wages ratio for absolutely ages now

So many clubs gamble everything on promotion to the top flight, it's not a surprise that it ends up coming back to bite them later on. I wonder how many other clubs would have gone the same way if they'd failed to be promoted.

I feel for the fans, but smething needs to happen to stop things like this happening again in the future.
