The Wednesday
first game of the season was always going to sell out regardless of the price. Your prices are ridiculous, especially as your catchment area is mainly working class. I thought you never sell out at Leeds because your scared :bg:
Some of our lot use the TV coverage and pricing as an excuse but fail to factor in its a bout a fiver to travel!

Be bollocks that, mate.

Wigans away support really isn't anywhere near as bad as people like to make out. It's actually quite good, given the size of the club.
we will sell the full 1200 by tomorrow and prob another 300..be close to 1500 Saturday not to bad

Virtually sold out for Rotherham on Saturday, hopefully will be a sell out.

Providing we have a good season, our away averages will be where they should be this season.

Decent effort that. God knows what the overall attendance will be, top tier closed and restricted sales.

Still can't wait though.

Not bad at all from "little Wigan" I know it's an away support thread but what do you lot (Bristol lads so half this forum) think your average attendance will be this season. Was there last year and new stand looked impressive, do you think you can fill it and rest of ground. I'm guessing about 21k, will it be more?

Doubt it will reach that, probably will be about 18k, maybe touching 20k if we have a good season

We've sold out Derby away which is later this month. 3179 allocation at £36 a ticket, and it's also on tv. Was always going to sell out and it's another game we could of taken 5k plus to. Be interesting to see how many we will take to somewhere like Barnsley midweek if we aren't doing well but I'd still expect us to have 2 or 3k there even if we are doing shit.

This is probably the most relevant thread and I can't be arsed to make a new one, but as a part of the system our club uses we have to pay a booking fee for tickets- £1 per ticket. There's been a fuss of this (rightly so) because until today the club hadn't made our fans aware of this extra charge- We knew about it from buying online and people being charged at the gate on Saturday, but online we were just given a price with no mention of a booking fee when they advertised tickets.

Bristol Sport made a statement saying they absorb over half the cost of using the system and that other clubs (I think they cited Derby and Brighton, but not 100% sure) charge fans more for the booking fee.

I'm just wondering whether any of the other clubs have hidden the booking fee and had backlash, whether it was only City that was underhand, and why a club would choose a system that sees them spending a big chunk of money per season. (15000 fans at 23 home games and a 1500 average away support would mean they are paying over £750,000 out of their own pocket as well as the £750,000 they take in from fans over the season).

I expect you'll sell out against us pretty quick once those go on sale too, under 100 miles (one of our closest!) and only 2700 tickets.

Yeah, Derby charge £1.50 booking fee for away tickets bought online or over the phone. Plus £1 p&p.

I suppose it makes life easier for people booking online, from home or work, especially for the big away games where we will sell out quickly. And long distance fans get a fair crack of the whip too.

It just doesn't sit comfortably with me though.

They also charge a £1 for home tickets bought online and you print the buggers off yourself at home!

Not bad at all that, we'll probably take less to the DW. You going down to the Gate for Saturday?

We've joined Reading in charging away fans a maximum of £20 for the coming season.
Fair play. Vincent Tan's odd: he makes some good decisions: and then drops a massive clanger.

Still, means you might have some fans in the stadium this season.

I thought Cardiff were only charging Reading £20, reciprocating the deal that we will be giving their fans. Which is fair play and a great gesture.

Tickets for QPR fans at Cardiff are still listed as £24 (which is still good value for this league).

yeah I'd be surprised if they don't sell out in a matter of days. If we get off to a flyer they will sell out in a day probably.

Actually that could be what it is, the way it was worded on the site wasn't clear. And our media department are shit when it comes to announcing stuff!

Sold 1300 for Norwich, expect that to go to about 1600, shame there's no trains back mind.

Leeds, whatever your opinion on the club, have the best away support in the FL, your Newcastle and Villas wouldn't be averaging their figures after 15 years of shit, we aren't too bad either.
