You keep repeating this line but i've never held that view, it's opinion not fact.

obviously it's what I think. I never once said it was fact. A lot of other clubs fans in the prem stated us as one of the loudest or the loudest fans to come to their ground last season. I don't think we have the best support in the land and I'm very honest regarding our support. Some of our fans think we have the best away support in England but no chance is that true.

To be fair to the prawn sandwich brigade in the top flight you're probably loud, to the rest of the also rans below you're just likely another big club with large support who aren't actually as loud as you think.

It's all about opinions. Mine fwiw is that you and Newcastle will be amongst the noisiest fans in the championship this season, but would you be in another 10-15 years especially if you had not had a sniff of promotion in that time. I believe Newcastle probably would but question whether you would be, still think you would have great numbers, but not so sure about the noise bit. That's why I rate our and Leeds support, think we both reached a stage were we thought the football is crap, let's just go and enjoy ourselves no matter what. Also think on the whole northern fans are noisier than southern fans, with a few notable exceptions. Any fans can be great or shit on their day, but find the fans with shit teams continue to be noisy when the team is shit, rather than your Man U for example, great when winning but absolutely shit if they go behind. Don't think many would have matched us at Wembley last year, despite being outplayed, but then at Burton this year we were shit. A lot to do with expectations also I suppose.

Personally I think we are louder than Newcastle. Thing is we had 5 seasons of utter shite in the prem before we got relegated and I can bet we were one of the best sets of away fans in terms of loudness and we took good numbers most of the time. We got to the point of thinking where you and Leeds are where we just thought sod it lets get pissed and have a good time. In 15 years time if we are still down in the lower leagues numbers will stay good and I still think we will be pretty loud. You know I never really rated your support in the prem but it seems to have got better since you've been in the lower leagues.

That day we were fighting among ourselves and it was a horrible atmosphere with loads of trouble. Last season they rated us the best fans that have been there in a very long time if not the best ever.better than sheff weds and Leeds who they rate very high so it's all about on the day.

haha I don't mate. I've never been a member of another clubs forum and tbf I don't need to ask any rival clubs fans if we are loud because I already know the answer to it. Usually go pubs after away games and some fans make a comment or two or you sometimes read comments on away days on Facebook. So no I'm not that sad I'm just talking about away support in an away support thread.

Always thought you had decent, underrated away support. Your numbers this season have been very good, although they are probably the 3 most anticipated matches for you. Still very good, do you think you can sustain it if your results hold up? Known you be very good at Hillsborough or pretty average, expect you to sell out this season if around top 7 or 8.

TBH winning and especially being top of the league helps! I think we'll have pretty good away support this season (as long as we keep playing well) but as you said if where in the top half even I expect us to sell out.

We are charging forest £35 compared to £25 for the likes of Rotherham. So for the bigger clubs out there that's what I think you will be paying. Can't see it going any higher.
