Pains me to say it, but that's a really good effort considering they are in free fall and off the pitch a shambles. Fighting amongst themselves yesterday apparently too.

I guess the £20 a ticket helps, but I think we only took about 1,500.

Forest are a better away supported club than derby.

Weren't there but thought our lot were shite today. Also read one or two other villa fans say we were shite. Blues are saying we never sold out! Don't talk silly.

Newcastle will piss it. Can't see them failing to sell out anywhere in the form they are in. We will do battle with Leeds for second spot.

They are generally better away supported than you though. Granted last few years you have been better than them, but all things being even I think their away support edges yours. Just my opinion obviously.

It's pretty much identical to us 2. Forest have better away support than derby as you do with us, there's not a great deal in it like but it's better.

I was one of them...
Fantastic atmosphere though! Especially in the second half!
Fulham fans must think us Yorkshiremen are crackers. We got battered 4 0 there the other year and the atmosphere was Fantastic. Mind think it helped nearly everyone was pissed.

Been working today, so don't know score. More importantly don't know if your lot got locked in ground or how many coaches you took. ;-)

Coming from someone whose team hasn't played at Fulham in his match-going lifetime, what is it that attracts people en masse to Fulham? It's a fair way out from St Pancras/Euston et al yet teams who would take smaller followings on shorter journies (Huddersfield, Bristol City, Birmingham this season) routinely sell out there.

It's shit. It's not that far from st pancs but it's a 15/20 mins walk to the nearest pub from the ground I think because Fulham are probably the most friendly club in the country that's what attracts a lot of people.

forgot about that. Ok your tin pot compared to rapid Vienna, but everyone is :bg:

I'd love it if English fans were like some of the foreign ones, they're fucking brilliant.

I'd hate it, it's just not us. Things have gone down hill a bit since it became family orientated. Best fans I've came across over the last few years are millwall. Went down there about 3 years ago in the cup on a Friday night. Crowd of 15k with 1700 of us but the noise they made all game was unreal. Horrible away day though. Got locked in ground for 40 mins, and we lost.

It wasn't the best all round was it. I thought Villa were quiet for the most part, as were we till the equaliser. You could sense the feeling of trepidation which affected the atmosphere to a degree although I absolutely cannot stand these early kick-offs, I'm always hungover from the night before.

Blues are saying we never sold out! Don't talk silly.
An empty section by where the segregation line is, I'm not sure why that was. I know Villa officially sold out their allocation.

Millwall away is tame, you're segregated as you come off the train straight away and held in the ground after until all the home fans have been shoved onto a train.

When I went they were 6th, only had 9k at home and were dancing to goal music when they scored. Weird experience.

nah it weren't great all round. Don't care what anyone says, all the bullshit with early KO, ticket reduction does effect atmosphere. Look at our midweek games for a true indication. Yeah I noticed the gap in our end but I'm sure it was down to segregation. Remember that time we only got given 1500 and we were put right in the middle of that stand with no blues in there. That game was awful too.

they had all the nutters out when we went down. You still got segregated well so there was no real danger, but it was the best set of home fans I've came across in years. Got drinking with a few in London Bridge, right characters.

Not many better than Millwall when they are all up for it. Was there for the playoff in 2002 on the night they rampaged through Bermondsey after the match. Didn't get back to Birmingham till something like 4am.

They're a strange bunch. If they have more than 200 at Ashton Gate they're usually very noisy. Had them on the opening day a few years back, they beat us 3-0 and most of the seats in the away end got fucking demolished.

crazy game that was. For once your lot got locked in for your own safety. I think blues and millwall are very similar in a lot of things and I'm not just on about violence here. The whole make up of the club and fans is very similar. The den and St. Andrews are two of the most hostile grounds in the country.
