:bg: 10% per cent of our home gate.
No away win all season.
£36 to sit in one of the worst stands in the league.
I didn't go and don't blame anyone who kept their money in their pocket.
Respect to those that went though, spending money is a very personal thing.

Still got 150 Newcastle tickets left and only sold 2.7K for PNE on New Years Eve.

That's pretty fucking atrocious though tbf. £36 plus two bus fares is a lot less than you will pay for most away days this season.

Agreed Tom.
In fact my son did just that.
It's not the overall cost though to me, it's who we are paying it to.

Still 2 weeks away almost, you'll sell 4k minimum I expect

I doubt it. If they are already on general sale then they will only sell a few hundred more. Still a good following I think though as is the Newcastle one for a sky game.

Went on general sale Friday, think we will shift another 1K after the Xmas payday.

My mate said you had 400 left for Newcastle after they went on general sale so you say 150 still left 2 weeks later then 1k seems a lot. You'll know better than me though

PNE is easier to get to than Newcastle, we took 4,400 on New Years Eve back in 2011, I've not got a ticket yet and I'm going.

Its bad yes but it couldn't have come at a worse time to be any lower following being smack before Xmas, 36 quid and almost certain to be relegated at the end of the season regardless of the result, any one of those reasons are enough to put people off and we get the 3 most reasons at the same time. Newcastle will be the only big following now for us and thats only because people will wonna make a night or weekend of it.

Considering how Rotherham fans always go on about Wednesday being their biggest rivals and many say they hate Wednesday, (even though its a one way thing) its 9 miles away (or 2 buses). So even taking in content prices, league position, just before Xmas etc, it is a shite following, anything below 2k would be crap imo, but below 1k, well. Cant remember any other South Yorkshire club or Chesterfield bringing anything near as low numbers as this going back to the early 80s.

Many Millers fans voted with their feet, I was one of them.
Not paying £37 at Leeds either.

Only because Chesterfield and no other South Yorkshire club has had to pay 36 quid with those other circumstances, i think only Sheff Utd would take over 2000 being in the same position imo. I bet Wednesday not taking over 2k to Leeds on a couple of occasions is not bad following though is it?

Us not taking over 1500 to Leeds on our last three visits is shit, make no mistake about it.

Everyone takes shit followings and impressive followings. We took 1100 to donny and 2k to barnsley for a Saturday 3pm game in our relegation season. I wouldn't of paid £36 if I was a Rotherham fan the other day but if they were top of the league they'd of took 5k at £36 , it all comes down to what's going on , on the pitch. The prices only come into it as an easy excuse when it suits. A winning team is value for money so we all pay whatever it costs.
