I cant wait for Newcastle away. Booked flights, booked hotel ... now actually need to get a match day ticket to ruin the day/night.

Only 300 tickets left for Newcastle. They ended up giving us the full allocation just over 3k. Should sell out today.

We'll lose 4/5-0 but should be a top weekend, staying the Friday and Saturday night.

How many have Derby sold for Friday - massive game. Price can't be an issue as sold out 2 season ago at same price iirc

think Derby have only taken the initial allocation of 1500 and it's not sold out yet.

Flying up to an away game? Look at us commoners who go by car or train...

Train and flying was the same price, but flying is a lot faster. Plus, my brother needs to do some work up there so he is claiming his costs back, then giving me 50% of my costs so it is actually pretty cheap. I work in travel so hotel was cheap as well.

Driving would be awful! Hungover, lost, dejected then a 5 hour drive home. Fuck that for a laugh.

You don't get all the fun flying up though!

I say fun, we played them on a Wednesday night in 2006 and we took a minibus up there.... it broke down just shy of Durham. The breakdown truck driver was a Mackem and we lobbed him a score for him to take us to SJP. He was a great laugh.

Anyway, whilst they were fixing the minibus and with no hotel rooms, we soldiered on till 8am before getting the fixed commodity back and driving it straight back home. Luckily I wasn't the designated driver that day!

Great stories to tell after but I bet you weren't too pleased at the time. I had one at west ham in the league cup 2 years ago we were booked on the 23.30 back to Doncaster, after running from the tube to the train it set off just as we got there. Next plan was a megabus or national express so headed to Victoria booked on what we thought was that nights megabus, it happened to be the night afters ( i didnt book it). The driver would of let us on but it was full so got a megabus to Birmingham, by this time it was 4am so a mcdonalds at new Street and a black cab back to Sheffield for the grand total of £150 , got in at about 5.30am and was working at 6am. But at least we won on pens.

Had something similar back in 2008 away at Ipswich on a Tuesday night.

Got a bit carried away drinking celebrating a 1-1 draw and managed to miss last train home about midnightish. There is/was an air and breathe nightclub not far from the station so I suggested trying to get in there until kicking out time and get one of the first trains home. Stared walking to the club when swarms of teenagers were walking towards us, turns out it was an under 18 night in there and it had just closed.

Ended up walking to station and finally a driver agreed to drive is back to London.
No word of a lie when the first conversation we had with the bloke went like this:

'You see all them prostitutes got murdered up here?'

'Yeah'

'The bastards pulled me in and questioned me for that'

That was a long journey home in the back of that taxi and cost 130 notes.

Initial is generally 2400, maximum is 2800.

maybe it's the initial allocation. It said Leeds were only allocated 2400 but they ended up having the full 2800. It's not too far up the road so you should sell out easily.

2400 is the max allocation for us on advise from the West Midlands police, shock that....

it was the same for Cardiff. Police advice limited them to 2400 but Leeds who also have a reputation got allocated the full 2800. Maybe they have some intelligence or something but I find it pretty bizarre. There was trouble when Cardiff came to us but I still find it strange. It seems it's for extra segregation and yet again WMP try fucking up people's day. Useless twats.

Will be 2300 by the time WMP have chucked 100 city fans on the first train back to Bristol.

Odd. Never thought of Brizzle City as having a reputation for being trouble making fans?

We have our fair share of idiots, most banning orders in the country last year or something like that. WMP aren't fond of us, we've had clashes with Wolves and Brum over the years so we get heavy handed treatment from them. Last season we sold out the 2,600 at Brum but the figure was lower than that, it was later found out that a few hundred City fans were turned away at New Street and shoved on the next train back to Bristol, and they're currently being taken to court for it.

I enjoyed villa park on Boxing Day despite the defeat. Good atmosphere and great ground. Shame villa are so stingy with the tickets as most clubs ( ourselves included ) could have shifted more than 2800 - but then I suppose it may give the away team more of an advantage when you have been gash for 5 years.

Our home record was fucking awful giving the 2800 in the PL, never mind giving away teams more seats. Now however we're the only team in the Championship who've not been beaten at home. :dk:

WMP police have had a hard on for us ever since we banged on some shutters at Molineux..

I've done some deep deep deep (did I mention deep) analysis on this and I have come to this conclusion on the reasons for this:

Championship teams are not as good as Premier League teams. :animatedf:

Your welcome. :bg1:

Think I saw 2000 yesterday, so hopefully end up with 3000, not bad but such a shame about the ridiculous pricing, that game should be a sell out.

You charged us 30 quid and your own a tenner. I'm told you've not shifted 1500 as yet either.

Know a few that aren't going to Wednesday purely on price merit. I'd of gone but I'm travelling back from Lanzarote Saturday and won't find out the score until landing in Manchester...

At home it's either cat B (£20) or cat A (£30) for away fans. With you having a large away fan base it makes sense to charge you cat A when you'd sell out easily. Especially when we're only giving clubs 1,900 max now.
