We sold out at Newcastle. Think the allocation was 3,200 as that's what their fans are saying. Got to say, they're a very freiendly bunch, other than about 200 wrong 'uns to the right of their goal trying to jibe with ridiculous paedophile taunts.

I've seen our followings at Leeds and Wednesday get a bit of a hammering on here. All I can say is when you're in February, rock bottom of the league by a country mile, have a single point away from home all season and have conceded 60 goals and at least two away from home in all but one away game, losing 4-0 twice and 3-0 at least twice, consider if you would still turn up at £40 a pop.

Our Newcastle attendance was s artificially inflated as we haven't played them at theirs since the early 90s, and won't be doing for the foreseeable, but facts are facts and we've managed to average over 1,000 away fans given how bad we've been.

We've been absolutely atrocious this season, but we'll be back, as we seem to swing in and out of this division over our history.

Just got back and seen that the Sheffield Star reporting 3229 Rotherham fans at St James Park.

Great weekend with a lot of goodwill from all the Newcastle fans I met.
Three of us went in the Labour Club near the ground in our colours, the place was packed and everyone was fantastic with us
.
They are truly a massive club with a fantastic ground and huge support.

Glad I don't have to climb up to the top of that stand every week though, I was knackered.

Outclassed in the end though, but we put a great show on first half and could have led at half time.

Not the best of starts for O'Donnell but it can only get better from now on for him.

Good turnout that from Rotherham.

We've got to go up there in a fortnight and I think we will sell out, but wouldn't be surprised if we didn't having played there plenty of times in the last 15/20 years. I've been 3 times myself.

I think a lot of away attendances are artificially (not sure if that's the right word but you'll see what I mean) by the new ground syndrome. If a club's not played at a ground for 30/40 years or even never at all, you're always going to get a good turnout no matter how "small" you are as a club.

Look at MK last season. Thousands of away fans from nearly every club in the division. Newcastle and Villa are uncharted territory for a lot of Championship clubs this season hence the big followings.

Yeah Newcastle is a class day and night out a shame we won't be going back there for years.

We went to a few bars in gate before the match and the Newcastle fans were all sound in there.

We were stood right at the back row and view is shocking, i thought top of wembley was high but that takes it to another level. The stadium as a whole is fantastic tbh though.

Yeah good numbers from us but i thought we were a bit shit vocally for some reason maybe if we took that early chance it would have been different.

We were outclassed 2nd half we definitely looked 2 divisions apart which will be the case next season but i thought we held our own first half and if we took chance it could have turned a different way but i always thought we were gonna lose anyways so not too disappointed.

Also thought we were poor vocally. Can't help feeling the Newcastle fans that have been saying we're one of the best they've had this season are pitying our plight a little and trying to soften the blow. We've made a lot more noise with a lot fewer fans this season. Can't wait for the day we win away as the fans will go absolutely bananas.

Onto Barnsley next week. They've sold their 2,200 and I'd be tempted to give them more if we understandably can't shift the 1,000 or so that only sell for bigger games. Might as well cash in all we can as looking at League 1, can't see many full houses next year.

Your first half against us in the first game of the season along with Barnsley hammerung us is the best I've seen of anyone this season. There is obviously potential there but something major is missing from the way you play. It's strange as from what I've seen (not much admittedly) you certainly arent the worst team in the league.

9 points off safety with a -33 goal difference would suggest they probably are.

I don't think we too bad in terms of possession and attacking wise its when the opposition have the ball were absolutely shocking we look like conceding at any time which has shown many times over the season we must concede an average of 3 a game which is ridiculously bad.

The first game of the season against your is probably the best example of the lot, first half we had looked good because we had alot of the ball so we wasn't having to defend but when your came out and attacked us 2nd half we felt to bits and was lucky to come away with 2-2 draw if i remember rightly.

Yeh, I probably worded it wrong, just surprised considering they looked decent when I saw them. They looked much better than Reading for example who are by far the worst team that have come to Molineux this season, yet they are in the playoffs.

Wolves are still the only team (maybe aside from QPR) who have set-up perfectly to counter us.

With us, when we're bad, we're really bad (Newcastle, Fulham, Brentford, QPR, Wolves) - but generally we're pretty decent.

536 Brentford at Wigan.
That'll probably be our worst away following of the season unless Norwich on a Tuesday night or Bristol City can beat it. Should guarantee that we don't drop below the dreaded 10k attendance mark at home this season.

IMG_0062.JPG Second time this season we've only been charged £10 for an away ticket. I love supporting a club with no fans! Only £32 ticket and travel combined must be the cheapest I've ever paid for a London away game.

I wish the home end was that cheap! We will have so many empty seats. The silver section for you is not very big. I am sure they are restricted views and to the side.

Can't wait to see the stewards try to stop everyone shuffling across to the middle at kickoff. :D

Reading brought sub 500 to your place.

You average sub 10K home fans this season too.

437 Brewers at Cardiff, fair play.

Gonna have 1400 + at Bristol city and 3k + at wigan for a Friday sky game. That's above your normal following to similar trips and imo pretty impressive

Really, read we had only sold 1450 for Wigan and that was early yesterday, not sure why we would sell 850ish in a day an half.
Edit, answering my own question, but guessing general sale from yesterday.

Where did read that, club tweeted we'd 1,300 left from 3,500 yesterday.

Read in the very early hours of Monday morning that we had sold 1441 from swfc ticket office tweet, since seen the tweet your talking about, so must have been a good uptake since, that's why I'm guessing they went on general sale on Monday morning.
