Southey can you remember saying we would be no where near up to a 25k average when I suggested it.:2thumb::2thumb: should be up towards or past 27k after the next few I'd guess.

Gonna say every club in the division would of sold the ground out other than Sunderland and even they may of done.
They only got 31k for a semi final against united a few seasons back. 5k of them were united fans.

Seems like the tide is turning in Sheffield.
Not so sure. Wednesday are still matching them at home despite the prices, have much better away support given this is Blades first season back up here in six years and you look at their squad and think that they'll get it right. Not discrediting Sheffield United, but I don't think they're surging ahead, just catching up.

I agree. We will never be better supported than them on a level playing field to be fair. Certainly never away from home.

I weren't being serious. The only place united are better at the moment, is on the pitch, but even then, they would have to get promoted to really move on from Wednesday.

Manchester United best numerically and vocally.

Bristol City home fans parking their new bandwagons must have drown them out mind....
A tad harsh WTGR Southey, all the City fans on here regularly go to games so we can't really be held responsible for all the newbies we're suddenly attracting.
An example, I've seen us lose to mighty footballing powers like Aldershot, Chester and Tranmere (6 bloody nil!!) so have done more than my fair share of penance for the heady days we are currently seeing. Our core support is up to around 16K (season tickets) so it's heading in the right direction. There's even a thread on our forum about how to further expand the stadium :eyes:!

We're expanding ours despite it being full on average about once a season, more of an upgrade rather than requiring the extra seats I think though but at 38k it probably would be full for a few of the big games if we were in the prem but that's it.

I'd also add that a fair chunk of the increased crowd would be down to the fact it was a quarter final.
Our crowd against Palace was 8k more than against Stoke, our crowd against Manchester was 5k more than Palace.

If we had played Manchester when we played Stoke and Stoke when we played Manchester I'd confidently say both would have sold out.

Fair play BM89, I do like Bramall Lane as a stadium and the plans look very nice.
For us, it's more about how on earth we would expand as we're locked in by private houses at either end so nobody has any idea how we would do it. Lots of talk about houses being bought behind the away end but (with the house prices down here) that's some serious money so I'll believe it when I see it.

We've got tonnes of room we could expand to owt we wanted really with the amount of room behind our kop and South stand. Will never ever be required though.

Wolves have 400 tickets left to sell, not sure whether that's wank or not really given it's on Sky but they usually do sell out down here, surprised they haven't sold the lot given where they are.

Already sold more than the Leeds game which was 24,435 so will take our average above 20,000.

I think I've slated wolves enough, so I won't bother saying what I think. Saying that we only sold 3100 at your place, so can't say too much, although circumstances are different.

Wolves we're down to less than 100 a couple of hours ago according to their forum.

Can imagine, fair enough then, Steve Bruce was doing it with us last week which was fully deliberate from him the fucking ugly bent nosed prick.
