We could top Leeds' away attendance and it would still get slated on here tbh.

I think it's a superb following from wolves to be fair. I've slated there last two but top effort for a tv game a fair distance away

No it wouldn't. Wolves should easily be selling out at Bristol city. You're not Cardiff for fuck sake, you're a proper club.

It probably will sell out though. Our away support has improved a lot over last year as has our home gates (drastically). Really not sure what else you're expecting.

If we can sell 3600 for a 2/3 hour trip down to Bristol on TV evening game, I would be proud personally.

Maybe I'm being too harsh on this one, ignore me.

I think you ought to be selling out, my expectations for Wolves are big as you're a big club. Will be a good following if you do, it's never 3 hours mind. 1hr45, 2 at a push.

True, just tried factoring the traffic being round new year and just after christmas. I hope we do sell out though, really looking forward to it.

A tad harsh WTGR Southey, all the City fans on here regularly go to games so we can't really be held responsible for all the newbies we're suddenly attracting.
An example, I've seen us lose to mighty footballing powers like Aldershot, Chester and Tranmere (6 bloody nil!!) so have done more than my fair share of penance for the heady days we are currently seeing. Our core support is up to around 16K (season tickets) so it's heading in the right direction. There's even a thread on our forum about how to further expand the stadium :eyes:!
Core isn't 16K mate IMHO that's what you get when you're proper shit I'd say our core is about 18K and then floaters on top, City's core is around 12K IMHO.

You've more factors than Burton average away for Wolves away excuses. Cracking numbers for Bristol City mind.

420 tickets left for the Wednesday game including 270 restricted view seats, still only on sale to season ticket holders and if there's any left you need 500 loyalty points to get one next week. At least one sheffield club can sell out the derby game this season hey :2thumb::2thumb:. Never mind having hundreds left after general sale.

We were shit the last 2 seasons and averaged 15k and 19k. The first of those with our biggest stand shut because of the redevelopment.

Obviously those averages include ST holders who may not go to every game, but there wasnt a 7k disparity at games last season.

You don't understand the term core do you, and do the 15k and 19k include away fans which means they ARENT Bristol City fans.

2200 sold for Barnsley on the 13th Jan so far, not on general sale yet though. Would be disappointed not to sell out there, love that away end.

No excuses for that one lined up, unless they change the kick off time to 2am on a Monday morning.

80 tickets left for Ipswich on Saturday.

So just over 1,700 sold.

Hope the A14 is moving again by then.

If I'm honest, I wouldn't care if there were 10,000 at our games if we kept winning. I appreciate we're not Leeds etc supporter number wise but we're getting better numbers than we used to which is good.
Why people get so defensive about it, I'll never understand. Bournemouth get 11,000 every week and look at them while Leeds, Villa, Wednesday etc could probably bring in 40,000 yet are a division behind clubs that have never even got near those figures. I just don't get it yet am more than happy with the crowds we're getting.

I've only used that figure as it's the number of ST holders we have. FWIW, I think you're probably right but would imagine the new facilities have pushed that number up a bit.

Do people go to football for facilities?

For you to sell out, I think you need to be atleast on 3.300 before it makes general sale.

Its got to go on sale to members yet before it makes general sale it will comfortably sell out.

Bristol now off sale online with only single seats left over the phone, think we'll fall a few short of selling out but 3500 is a good following for an evening game on TV this time of year.
