If the heddlu treated us as humans last time we was there they would not have had as much trouble .
That is totally stupid. If anything, only sell to those on your database or something like that.
It's not going to prevent anything - those mad enough still going will be on the lash all day in Bristol, and will get someone sober to drive them there or hop on the coaches. It's downright stupid. It's just away to make sure there are no Bristol City fans in the Welsh capital on the lash all day. As everyone knows if you like a drink whilst at the Football then you idolise Danny Dyer and watch Green Street at least 4 times on the Eve of the game.

And anyone too pissed will then not be given their ticket probably. Fucking joke that. It's not going to prevent anything - those mad enough still going will be on the lash all day in Bristol, and will get someone sober to drive them there or hop on the coaches. It's downright stupid.
People would have the right to kick off and get nasty if the got refused the right to their ticket that they had purchased with their own money because of them being under the influence of alcohol at a fucking football game. And anyone too pissed will then not be given their ticket probably. Well, being refused a ticket is just the same as being turned away at the gate before a game, is it not?People would have the right to kick off and get nasty if the got refused the right to their ticket that they had purchased with their own money because of them being under the influence of alcohol at a fucking football game.
Yeah it is, and both shouldn't happen.Well, being refused a ticket is just the same as being turned away at the gate before a game, is it not?

I don't see why football fans who have had a drink are generalised as malicious. It's a ridiculous law that you can be turned away from a football game for being under the influence of alcohol.
We have had 'bubble trips', restricted travel and unrestricted travel to Cardiff and there's still trouble. All this will do is put people off travelling as it's a right ball ache! We'll be lucky if 1000 bother to go now, especially as it's on the tele as well.I know I rarely go to away games, but I'm glad we never have to do something shit like that!

The last time we played there, I went with a Bluebird supporting friend, went in loads of 'Cardiff only' pubs and had a cracking time. As I have a Bristolian accent, it's not like they didn't know I was a red but I had no issues at all. Just let people travel under their own steam as the restrictions make no bloody difference anyway.
What have we said?No-one ever gets turned away from football for being under the influence. They get turned away if they can barely stand and/or are a general nuisance. Loads of time (Millers and opposition) I've witnessed lads that couldn't hold themselves up and generally (particularly in the terrace days) were a liability to themselves and everyone around them.
Bristol and Preston fans are perennial moaners. Why not just admit that your away followings are really normal. Don't try and be Leeds or Wolves or Derby. You can't be. There are plenty of clubs in this league (most in fact) that can take loads to local/big games but travel poorly to games further afield. Yes prices and restrictions will have an effect, and this will as Cardiff is local, but I saw Bristol fans predicting 2,000 to Pigs opening day, then all of a sudden when the prices were upped it became "we would've taken close to 5,000 had the prices been sensible." Hmmmm.

There was a couple on OTIB said the 5,000 thing but that forum is full of nutjobs hahaWhat a load of old bollocks this is!
The restrictions have ALWAYS killed the away support at games v Cardiff, it's been proven as it's happened before. The police mess you about something terrible so supporters just won't go as they have experienced it before.
I haven't seen any City or PNE fan bigging up our away support but I have seen people refused entry for 'looking the wrong sort' (Brum away this season) and 'having had a drink' (every time we go near the West Midlands).
Without the daft prices, we may well have taken a fair few to Hillsborough but find a post that says we would take 5k please as I haven't seen one.
You're a strange lot you Rotherham fans?
Precisely! There was a couple on OTIB said the 5,000 thing but that forum is full of nutjobs haha
That first part is un-true, as has already been mentioned (see CiderUp's post) and I don't think anyone from either Preston or ourselves have bigged up our away support on here.No-one ever gets turned away from football for being under the influence. They get turned away if they can barely stand and/or are a general nuisance. Wot no late train to the great metropolis of the North ...no no noThey need to get it fucking sorted and get a later train running to sheffield, they seem to run everywhere else. Have to piss about going to doncaster and get a taxi home although if it was qpr id be leaving the ground at 21.25 and i reckon you'd piss it back to st pancs in time for the 22.25.
My favourite part of Millerwhale's post is the omission of Sheffield Wednesday when talking about clubs that take a big following.
Don't bite Walkley ....
Call that a restriction? That's nothing compared to us vs. Burnley. For the game they've skyrocketed prices above our 'A*' pricing and the dingles have to buy the official coach ticket (taking the price to £41) and aren't allowed anywhere outside the ground once off the coach. At least bristol city fans can make their own way to the game, albeit with a restriction.
