If they want a match ticket, they have to buy a coach ticket??

What if they live in Blackburn?

Then they have to travel to burnley to come back again i think , its what cardiff and swansea do too. I really cannot see how the fuck the coppers are allowed to do it , its an absolute disgrace. Thousands of normal people having to put up with all that bollox because the police can't do there job properly and stop a minimal amount of blokes having a pop with each other. Earning there money by punishing completely innocent people. I fucking hate them more than any other twats on the planet.

So they make a Football match a bit of a ballache to attend....boo fuckin' hoo.

You'd soon be on the phone to 'em if a member of your family were in serious danger, or had gone missing.

Call that a restriction? That's nothing compared to us vs. Burnley. For the game they've skyrocketed prices above our 'A*' pricing and the dingles have to buy the official coach ticket (taking the price to £41) and aren't allowed anywhere outside the ground once off the coach. At least bristol city fans can make their own way to the game, albeit with a restriction.
Ah, the 'full bubble'. That is a real pain in the arse! Our own BS3red (who posts on here occasionally) lives in Cwmbran, near Cardiff and had to drive from Cardiff to Bristol, back to Cardiff to watch the match then back to Bristol only to drive back to Cardiff.
As I said, there was little or no trouble the last time we played the Bluebirds (apart from some pissed up kids smashing a couple of chairs in a pub) and that was unrestricted. Apart from the local police not wanting away fans in town, I cannot understand why they have introduced this restriction.
The full bubble is an absolute nightmare IMHO and causes as much trouble as it stops. I pity the Burnley and Blackburn fans that have to put up with that, it's horrible.

I have been to loads of Severnside derbies and never had any issues. If people want to avoid trouble, they can. It's not rocket science. That said, I wouldn't take my kids to an away fixture at Cardiff in the past as it can be unpleasant or it certainly used to be.
It really isn't an issue anymore IMHO, the dark days for this fixture have long gone. They ended when Ninian park was flattened.

Roversfan, Blackburn do the exact same to Burnley fans at Ewood Park so I don't know why you're trying to take the moral high ground. It probably happens in a lot of local rivalry games.

Cardiff - Swansea, Blackburn - Burnley and Chester V Wrexham are the only fixtures I can think of that have full travel restrictions for every fixture.

And if their fixture is anything like ours then the club have very little say in it.

I don't rate Wolves too high as a great away day but weirdly it's probably one of my most visited grounds.

If you like getting covered in piss and showered in coins, then Molineux is your ticket.

I remember one time at Wolves there were some nob heads swinging at people as they were exiting the turnstile, completely unaware with the stewards/ police nowhere in sight. Don't even think these tossers had been on the game.

This was probably about 10 years ago though tbf.

Yep, you really had to keep your head down at Molineux back then. Seen many a punch-up in those subways near the ground.

That Watford fan who got seriously injured in an attack last year was outside Molineux wasn't it?

Not far from it. The Watford fan was walking back to the train station.

Only been to Wolves once which was the 6-4 game in league 1 and apart from the pitch invasions and few objects thrown from both sides, most of their fans were sound, after the game, our fans and the wolves fans above us in the top tier were applauding each other after a thrilling attacking display from both sides, on the way back to train station we were both singing songs in that subway near the ground and it was all in good spirits, even had Wolves fans coming over and saying we were the best away side that season to come to Molineux and wishing us the best for the rest of the season, so there not all bad, might have been a different story if we won 6-4 though.

It was in a street half-way to the station. It's on my route for home games as I park near the station.
The location of the attack was odd because it's just yards from where many away fans park (and I think where the away coaches wait during the game) so has a particularly high police presence. But then just a few more yards and it's very isolated, down the side of the railway viaduct. However, I have never seen trouble along this stretch (and I wasn't at that game).

Sadly, we continue to have a small number of vicious thugs associated with the club. Personally, I think the club doesn't do enough to identify and isolate them. We had high profile pitch invasions in 2012-13 (vs Burnley) and 2013-14 (vs Rotherham) with criminal damage and attacks on stewards and yet you hear of very few bans. There's the occasional one or two here or there, but there were many hundreds causing problems at those two games alone. How many were banned as a result of those pitch invasions? If you go on the pitch, you should get a ban. It really isn't complicated. There is 100% CCTV coverage and the club can connect most seats with an identity. So why don't they do it?

I have lost count the number of home games spoilt by the disgusting language and behaviour of a small number of fans. Often they are young...feral 13, 14, 15 years old.....but this seems to be a particularly dangerous age-group. Many are unbelievably dim and wouldn't hesitate to stab you or seek you out after the game and attack you for objecting to their racist, misogynistic, hate-filled shouting and chanting. Despite this, many do object and do stand up to them but it can get tense. I just wish the club would do a lot more about it.

I don't believe you should get a ban for going on the pitch for example when you score your not exactly causing anyone any harm are you.

No, but you're disrupting the game by entering the field of play, and making the stewards job a hell of a lot harder.

I'm not saying I haven't been on the pitch before, I have on numerous occasions, against Rotherham, Rovers and more recently Coventry, but all of those have been at the end of the game, I wouldn't be silly enough to do it whilst the game is still taking place, it's an un-needed disruption.

No but its only a case of people getting a bit carried away and being a bit overjoyed it definitely does not deserve a ban.

Yeah, don't think it deserves a ban, but it's still stupid and if they got kicked out of the ground I don't think they could feel hard done by.

Disagree. It's not necessary, it's illegal and in the case of both the Burnley and Rotherham invasions both police and stewards were threatened, away fans were intimidated. It's unpleasant. It's illegal.

Or perhaps we should have a change in the law so that people who are 'alright' can do it and get a hearty clap on the back from everyone for being a bit cool, while shits who do it can get banged up? That way, 'good guys who aren't exactly causing anyone any harm' can have a special badge to wear allowing them to do whatever they like.

By this curious logic, we definitely shouldn't do anything about people who get carried away and, say, drink-drive or say to a flight attendant "i've got a bomb in my hand luggage" when they haven't. Running on the pitch interrupts the game.

** And before some dick suggests I'm equating running on the pitch with these much more serious offences....I'm not. I'm objecting to the logic that it's OK because people are just "getting carried away". You can't just suspend a requirement for proper behaviour just because someone "gets carried away".

I never minded wolves away, back in the 80's and 90's, you only battled against like minded souls, no one else was tounched. It seems that "modern" lads don't descriminate anymore.

It doesn't interrupt the game as generally people that do it are normally celebrating with there own players aren't they. Anyway i couldn't care less if people do it as im not someone who wishes for people to be banned from attending football for pretty much anything let alone running on the fucking pitch.

Was like a throw back to the 80's/90's when we played you away a few seasons back. Coins etc being pelted at us and Vale fans being equally rowdy. Came out the ground to be greeted by about 20 lads dressed in their Stone Island running up the road at our lot.

The worst part of the Rotherham game was that we invaded the pitch 3 times. If the result was voided because of a few morons then it would have become a more serious matter.

The policing was terrible that day, police dogs attacking innocent people aswell as the people causing trouble. Did they ever issue an apology on their 'strategy' that day?

Our coppers like riding their horses over stewards in the event of a small pitch invasion.
