We didnt know our final allocation i said probably, we would have had 5000+ there given the tickets. It was posted by a Leeds fan on here that you had been given a few hundred more tickets to have a 2700 allocation, if that was the case then it never sold out.
Edit: Quick check and it was you that posted it.
Only because you're doing well. The last few seasons you've failed to sell out there. Granted, both midweek games, and on tv.We didnt know our final allocation i said probably, we would have had 5000+ there given the tickets.
i could be wrong but apart from that game i dont think we have failed to sell out there in yearsOnly because you're doing well. The last few seasons you've failed to sell out there. Granted, both midweek games, and on tv.
There were two midweek games on the bounce that never quite sold out. I'm talking maybe 100-200 shy, so still a good following.i could be wrong but apart from that game i dont think we have failed to sell out there in years

The crowds Leeds get don't reflect the size of the fanbase. With Newcastle it's the other way round. Anyone would think they have a bigger fanbase than everyone apart from united, and Liverpool, but they just turn up in numbers more. In history only United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs, Newcastle, and Everton have commanded huge crowds on a regular basis. Then you have clubs like Chelsea, Villa, Man City, Sunderland, with Wednesday, Leeds, and Wolves making up the best of the rest. West Ham have only started getting good crowds in the last 10 years.
Yes you did. Not last season, but the year before you never.I think you mean easter monday 3 o clock kick off a few seasons back when they were going for promotion we sold it out easily.
I never said they had huge support. I said only united, Liverpool, Newcastle, Spurs, Everton, and arsenal have had regular big crowds. Then the next tier of clubs were ourselves, Chelsea, city, and Sunderland. With Leeds, Wednesday and wolves being the best of the rest. Wednesday have averaged over 40k four times, which was a long time ago. They have not averaged 30k for years.Villa loyal,
Your quote of Wednesday having regular huge support is totally inaccurate, the facts below may surprise you.
The last time SW had huge support was the early 1950’s (1950 to 1954).
In fact they’ve not averaged over 30,000 since 1968, that’s 50 years ago.
It’s difficult to believe that fact when the ground have always had a capacity of 40K plus.
Historically it’s actually one of the most under occupied (% wise) grounds in the higher divisions.
Last season they had a very decent average crowds of 27K but that’s not the norm, that was one of their highest in the last 50 years.
Wednesday will soon be down to the usual 22K-23K, good home support but not great.
Wednesdays reputation comes from when they play one-off big matches, last game of the season promotion games, then they’ll fill the ground with 35K to 40K fans, so it does prove the massive e potential.
I do accept however that Wednesdays away support has traditional always been excellent.

Give me your number, then we won't have this misunderstanding againFair enough mate, it’s very easy to misinterpret posts, never know the context compared to spoken communication.

Agree Leeds United have a massive fan base , it’s just that many don’t bother going to matches.
They have the potential (that word again) to be one of the biggest clubs (support wise) in England.
There was one mate BUT it could have been a reduced allocation for standing, you had 2.1k iirc.I think you mean easter monday 3 o clock kick off a few seasons back when they were going for promotion we sold it out easily.

Just remembered the non sell out at Cardiff, circa 1100 midweek for you lot, lowest I recall in many a year.
Re Bristol City tonight, reasonable that, would expect double had it been a Saturday.
Milling up Millwall, 31 quid on train and taxi back from Donny, one of my favourite away days.
Fair enough it was off the top of my head at half one what year was the Cardiff one?Been there 5 times in the .last 6 years
2013 - 2535
2015 - 2407
2015 - 1455
2016 - 2452
2017 - 2382
4 out of 5 were sell outs, we took 981 to Cardiff
March 2016Fair enough it was off the top of my head at half one what year was the Cardiff one?
The mythical 30k, I bet we'd average it now if we had a season in the top division, football's changed a fair bit has as been alluded too, if the likes of Stoke, Leicester, Saints etc can do it then I'd argue most middling size clubs given the PL tourists.
As for under occupancy, it has been for years but given SAG restricted us to 33k last season and we averaged 27k, that's not too bad, what was your occupancy rate last season
We've had some bad years in the past, particularly the 70s but despite mediocre years still get a decent hard-core, we aren't a Leeds or a Villa but we are not bad, we've averaged above 20k for 27 out of the last 30 seasons, and never under 10k can you say the same?
I'm not normally into a pissing contest with you lot cos I get on with BM89 and load of you lot but just summat about you that makes my shit itch.
Our last sub 1k was Feb 2015 ner nerMarch 2016
Agree with all of that but I still don’t get your point. Everyone knows Wednesday have good support and I don’t need convincing.
I can understand you feeling uncomfortable, I use to work with statistics in my old job, had many of the Rothmans and Barclays yearbooks and still have loads of football spreadsheets, so I can generally back up any arguement with facts. Anyway does it matter, its not a dating site, as long as everyone is civil it’s fine.
I'm an accountant, I can baffle you with science.
Erm...... RE Walkley.....Walkley Owl was an accountant and although he wasn’t initially my cup of tea I slowly warmed to him and thought he was OK. Actually enjoyed some of his posts and he did a fantastic job updating the stats spreadsheet. Don’t mind banter, lifes too short to get angry or take posts too seriously.

I was talking to SheffSteel, thas got it wrong.Calm down old boy. I weren't digging at your support, infact if anything, I usually praise it. We last averaged under 10k in 1895. Well if I make your shit itch, then itch it will you, and don't mind me.
Yeah Smiley confirmed it.Leeds had sub 1k at that Cardiff match.
