We are on around the 35k mark for Derby on Saturday. Might hit 36k. Away fans included obviously.

I know Leeds are selling out at home regularly now. Not sure how many they could realistically be pulling in if their ground was bigger.

VL good question... if away fans would turn up, and a wee bit cheaper for ALL then Circa 48,000-55,000?

Leeds looking into racism at their game at QPR. Seems a lot of it about at the moment.

This the same Leeds that averaged less than us a few times, and were down to 17k for league games? Deluded fools the fucking lot of ya.

I knock our home attendances constantly, but there would easily be 50k there tonight if we had the capacity and it was priced well. There's no end of moaning by away fans at Leeds' prices, but those are the matchday prices for a good third of the ground, and they're not even making general sale. A membership is £40

To balance that, the last 18 months are historic highs for the club in terms of home gates. You can see why considering the last 15 years and the pent up frustrations. Middlesbrough fans, for example, have lived seasons like this loads of times before, it's the first time in a generation for us (having a genuine tilt at promotion back to the PL). Almost every single fan of the club is engaged in it right now.

Even if we did go up and were going for the PL title in our first season, we'd probably only see demand rise by about another 10% or so. Right now is pretty much peak Leeds United.

If we're still in the hunt till the end I reckon 60k would be achievable on a weekend. A do or die home game on the last day would see demand for tickets exceed 6 figures

We fail, Bielsa goes, the club continues to lose it's best players, we're mediocre in the Championship and it goes back up to £600 minimum a season ticket, and we're back down to 21k

Didn’t realise home games weren’t making general sale. That’s some demand that is, but as you say, it’s a new high not seen by many Leeds fans.

Don’t fuel Leeds fans about attendances..

The c*** heads are wide enough.
I was just generally interested in how many they could pull in as i read somewhere that they were selling out most games. Leeds are one of the original glory hunters clubs.

What could a Sheffield derby game attract with reasonable ticket prices, crunch match and both clubs doing very well, with unlimited capacity?

Answer avoidance Jose mate...what figure...?
I have no idea and wouldn't wish to make up a bullshit answer, the fixture has attracted 65k+ in the past and 49k in the 3rd tier.

Leeds have never averaged over 40k yet you lot think you're Man Yoo

Bit rich United saying anything about this, I remember them getting 15k for a play off semi final a few years ago

Think you're forgetting just over 25 years ago a match between the 2 sides taking place over 100 miles away attracted a crowd in excess of 80k.
Both sides sold out their allocations quickly and it was estimated 10s of thousands missed out.
So 80k minimum is a fact and not some figure plucked out of thin air.

It sounds fancyful but i would guess for a huge cruch match in Sheffield with both clubs getting unlimited allocations over 120k but that is exactly a figure plucked from nowhere.
We will never know.

I didn't forget it in the slightest but it wasn't a run of the mill league game which is what we are talking, every c*** and his hanger on turns out for them games.

Re read his question. He says a crunch match, (I'd call an FA Cup Semi a crunch match) never mentions a run of the mill league game.
Agree though the allure of Wembley attracts every man, his wife, their kids and dog.
We can't even sell 30k for this one.

That's cos our lot are fickle fuckers, we sold over 30k in League One cos we were 3rd or whatever.

As for his question still don't think the FA Cup semi/Wembley is a fair barometer to use.

I remember when you played Doncaster in play off final and it was mentioned that you could have sold 100,000 tickets.

One of the 1,500 Reading fans heading up to Ipswich tomorrow. First visit for me, early train up from Portsmouth - what is the town centre like? Any good pubs off the beaten track? (would rather not go to some away fans pub with a load of shirters)

Over 2k baggies going up to Leeds tonight. That’s very good from them. How many did wolves take up last season midweek whilst top of the league?
