I'm sure the title parade number is fairly accurate, but it doesn't cost a penny unlike the 40 quid for matches and generally in a one Club City like Leeds a third of the City will turn out, how many turned up for Leicester's parade the other year?

It is accurate. It was mentioned in passing and not as a barometer of anything. It only came up again because someone disputed it

You make some valid points about restricted capacity. During the O’Leary years you would have had some bigger crowds if your ground was big enough, and would have averaged over 40k easily. The one season under O’Neil half of our home games were sell outs and we averaged 40k, so would have averaged more if we had a 50k stadium. Before you got relegated Villa and Leeds averaged 36k taking in all of the prem seasons up to then. The 80s were a bad time for attendances. We had a 34k average when we won the league, which was the third highest in the country. 10 years previous we had a 32k average in the third division.

Yes we've only realistically had a couple of periods where we were good enough to attract 40k and the ground didn't hold enough. We were told that the demand during the OLeary years was 55k minimum and that was the size of stadium we were planning before it went tits up. Not that you can necessarily trust figures from Ridsdale's era! But the auditors and everything were convinced and presumably looked at the club's figures

And also there's sellouts and sellouts. Sheff U at home sold out immediately to members. God knows what the demand actually is, but if you have to have a £40 membership just to log in and attempt to buy a ticket you can bet it's a lot higher than 35k. How many clubs sellout to members only? None in this division, not now or ever. Then you wonder what might it be if our £39 tickets were £25

The nature of the club and the area is that a lot more people identify as Leeds fans than somewhere like Derby, but only a fraction regularly attend. I know Leeds fans who live within walking distance of the ground who never go. Obviously more go the better we're doing and its now got to the extreme of away fans having to be on their own club's database in order to stop Leeds fans going in the away end, which happened a lot last time we were promoted

240.000 turned out for Leicester. You can bet a lot weren’t Leicester fans, like a lot wouldn’t have been Leeds fans at their parade.

Again it was only mentioned to contextualise the club's claim that 250,000 wanted playoff final tickets a few years back

In Derby we have a very hardcore following, for the size of our city( smallest in England), we have very good home support, unlike Leeds, And I see more Manu tops in Leeds than I ever did in Derby, one serious. Question though , how can a Yorkshireman ever support Manu, that's something I can never get my head round. Being the red and white rose thing, going on between the two counties.

Looks like a few did not make it to the ground, think they were the lucky ones, my mate said we were awful, and Villa were by far the better team, my mate still thinks you might make the play offs, I know one thing, Derby will not make them.

Nah, that’s the full allocation I think mate. We might put a good run together now, but we won’t make it.
