Derby has finally sold out today, 3100, always surprises me with Derby, it never seems a very popular place to go. We can sell 3k+ for a London away game in a matter of days, yet we always seem to struggle to get to the full allocation at Derby 40 minutes up the road. I can only put it down to the fairly shite pre/post match attractions, it's pretty poor for pubs etc, just wall to wall fast food outlets.

I bit the bullet last week and got ours, £61 for me and two young kids , I've justified the cost as there's six of us going so it'll cost us a total of under a tenner each to get there.

I understand that you might feel like that if you're taking your kids but there's no excuse for anyone else going to not walk the opposite way out the train station and engage in what is a pretty decent city. It's not raining with decent pubs but there's still plenty to choose from.

10 minute walk into town and you can get a taxi to the ground no problem from 2:40-15:00 for a fiver if you want to booze. If you're driving to the ground then you're pretty screwed though. The Harvester best of a bad bunch on the Pride Park estate for away fans I imagine and I'm guessing that's what your post is aimed at.

Agree with Luke, Derby has some fantastic pubs, especially if you like your real ale. 10 mins walk from station, you're in the city centre. I don't buy this nonsense of there being nothing around the ground, it's in the city centre folks.

Good job on selling your allocation though, first team to do it this season.

when the local plod make it impossible to leave the "designated away pubs" you can see why people find Derby a shit away day

There's still a few ones worth trying, I've been in the Brunswick with away fans before and also the Standing order. Do you still get put in the one straight up the street from the station?

I've fell foul of it in Derby before when we've played you lot or United, my mate normally keeps hold of my ST so sometimes I haven't got it before I meet him and because of my accent I've been refused to get into "home" pubs. The police presence is obviously really big when the likes of you come though due to the bigger following and clearly bites you on the arse, Derby unfortunately isn't a huge city.

There used to a back exit from the station that we used to get into the centre and also the other better pubs but think they've cottoned on to it, even if we catch an early train we get collared and sent to the Crown and Cushion

I've been in that Brunswick a few times, that's ok. I also managed to get in "The Pride Park"? A few years back for a night game, we had a great craic in there with the home supporters, they looked at us like we had two heads that some away fans had managed to get in, I have to admit I was quite surprised myself!!!

I personally don't think it's an 'awful' away day but chatting to other fans it's often said "yeah Derby's shit, there's nothing around it" maybe that reputation is undeserved.

Only pedos and Blackpool fans don't opt for a Wicked Zinger meal when going to KFC.

Still wearing Deer-Stalkers in the Derby Victoria boozer. Nicely turned out chaps.

Jose: we've sold circa 3,300-3,400 for Saturday. Leeds got extra allocation when momentum had dropped and ticket office didn't tell anyone (they never do at our place) so gaps downstairs in the LL.

6 goal thriller?!

Is that the combined number of our last three trips?

We have sold 1156 for Rotherham away. Given how we are playing, I am surprised it is that high. Tickets on the door as well so should be higher.

If that top tier holds 4164 at hillsborough id love to know where the extra 1000 seats are in it as leeds were only given 3100 in it. 1 row at the front blocked off thats it aint it.

Wednesday - the biggest club in the world
ever to regularly get 16/17k gates at home when shite.

And then Leeds take about 4/5 times as much each time. Different level.

3,097 Blues at Derby.

Great result too for them cant wait for derbys fuck up again it looks like its in motion. 30m quid spent nowt against them at all just think its cheating to get out the league not only them that do it though.

Excuse me for biting...

I love how people just add 5 million onto our total, and then when talking about individuals they add the odd million here or there too. Don't kid yourselves (it's not just you) that there's nothing against us either. The last 3 seasons have confirmed that. If that was the case there would be these kind of responses for Boro, Burnley, Hull, Brighton and so on...

"Can't wait". Give over Blademan.

from a club that backed FFP, it's a fucking disgrace

if by some miracle you do pass FFP next season then I will apologise, but I can't see how any club can spend 23m (reportedly) and still be under the loss bracket

QPR are worst mind and when they get away with it all, us , Forest and Fulham etc can all bring lawsuits to the FL, so we all win
