A little birdie told me that we're making a move for Gary Rowett, with Steve Coppell as an advisor. Would be very impressed if so.

Would be happy with that although i would be surprised if Rowett left Birmingham City to take over us. What birdie was it? A blue tit or a Garden Warbler?

That would be an excellent appointment if true, be surprised if he left Birmingham though to be honest.

No chance. Coppell just started a new job elsewhere this Summer too? (Derby?)

Some bookies have even closed the market for our next manager, expecting it to be Stam.

Won't get anyone good in but won't miss Evans.

Hasn't got a job at the moment but as you have said he is being linked with a job at Derby.

Steve Evans departure from Leeds was the most inevitable move of the summer, does Cellino seriously think he can attract anyone better? I see them ending up with a foreign no mark who'll be sacked by October.

That comment could apply to us as well.

Lot of momentum behind Monk to us. Considering what's happened in recent weeks, I'd snap your hands off for that...even if it would be underwhelming for many clubs.

Alan Stubbs confirmed at Rotherham.

Dont know what to make of this appointment tbh im sort of in the middle, 99% of Hibs fans have good things to say about him but the English championship is a lot harder than the Scottish championship and were a small fish in a big pond whereas Hibs are a big fish in a small pond in their respective division so its gonna be a way bigger challenge for him. Im hoping he brings a few of their better players with him aswel like Cummings, Hanlon and McGinn would be nice. Overall my preferred option was McClaren but i was praying it wasn't Gray or Bowyer, im just glad we've finally got a manager now and we can start looking at recruitment for players.

Considering Steve Kean was second favourite, this is quite the coup (until he's sacked and Evans comes back in October...)

Looks like Owen Coyle is the man for Blackburn - well they will be hoping he does what he did at Burnley rather than Bolton!

Despite getting sacked by Swansea, Monk has a pretty good reputation and I can't understand why he wants to risk Leeds, where he won't last 5 minutes.

Although in a way it's a win win for him because if he does get sacked he can tell future potential chairman that it's impossible to work under that lunatic and they'll believe him.

I'd be amazed if Rowett left Birmingham for Reading....if he stays at Birmingham, he will get head-hunted for a bigger job (ie....top 10 Championship team or even maybe Burnley when Dyche leaves).

I'd love it if Coyle goes to Blackburn....he threw away his chance at Burnley because Bolton were "10 years ahead of the Clarets and had all the right infrastructure".....6 years later after being sacked several times, Coyle's stock has fallen and Bolton will be 2 divisions below Burnley next season.

Could not happen to a nicer, two-faced man.:)

Do you not consider Birmingham a top 10 Championship club?

We have only finished outside of the top 10 twice in twenty years, including 3 promotions and 7 years in the Premier League.

Traditionally we have always been a club that has yo-yoed between the top two leagues.

He used to work for the club and has got a lot of things right before, not sure this one is viable as it would be a bit of a drop in fairness.

He's been very unlucky, the two seasons they've had down there have been spent with Hearts in the first season and Rangers in the second, he'd have promoted them without those being there.

The Scottish FA cup win was a sign of what he can do.

Plus he can bring Cummings, Stokes and McGinn with him for me,
None of them are Championship standard, the Scottish Championship is about National
League level.
