4-0 Luton - Isaac Vassell just before the end.
And of the 18 players in tonight's squad:
14 English
2 Scots
1 Irish
1 Jamaican

(according to the stats on FlashScores)

No doubt a fine will be on it's way again.

53 Wycombe in a "crowd" of 766 tonight.

That said, we've banked over 100 grand from this "competition" so far, which is not to be sniffed at - that, plus 7 figures for the Jordon Ibe sell-on, plus FA Cup money, is turning us into quite the mon£ybag$.

On the FlashScores site, Zane Banton has the Jamaican flag by his name.
News to me, but what do I know? (no need to answer that question by the way!)

6-1 win in the end. That should boost the confidence, especially for Diego De Girolamo who smashed in a hat-trick.

I'll take getting knocked out by Bradford next week if we can beat Accrington on Saturday.

So Swansea U21s the only "B team" left in this?

Hopefully they'll be knocked out next round and then we never hear of it again. To be fair, as former winners of this competition Swansea should do the decent thing and withdraw their U21s from it.

Yay, we've qualified for the quarter finals of a competition we don't actually want to be in.

Happy days.

We'll get drawn away at some shithole like Luton to rub salt into the wounds

We were saying we've made about £100k from the competition which I guess is very useful in the context of things.

Sides left in the competition -

Mansfield
Wycombe
Swansea U21
Yeovil
Coventry
Luton
Oxford
Cheltenham/Bradford

Oxford (and Bradford assuming they get through) look to be the favourites on paper but all of the proper teams left will be fancying their chances. Just hope Luton don't get the Academy team, want a proper game.

Assuming it's against one of the League sides then I'd probably go myself if Luton make the final.

Did we, fuck me I thought we beat the current Champions of England. I was going to declare us the unofficial champions of England and everything.

You can do that when you win the conference again....

While I firmly believe everyone's entitled to his own opinion, I'm disappointed that some fans are already planning on going to the Final if their side gets there.

It would be different for those fans who watched all the games their club played so far in this farce of a competition, but only watching the semi or the final doesn't sit right with me.

Same here as i have never watched a match in this cup under it's various guises it would be wrong if we got to the final that i turned up to watch.

When we won this in 1998 I went to every game except the first round away at Chesterfield and had a great day at the final, but the year we lost to MK Dons in the final I hadn't been to any game and so didn't go and thought that I didn't care, but then watching it on tv when we missed a penalty to go 1 up and then inevitably lost I ended up quite gutted which felt a bit bizarre.
Same with our 2 FA Trophy final defeats whilst in non league, I've never been to a Trophy match in all our 6 seasons down there then watched both finals on tv. The Wrexham one I ended up pretty gutted we lost but then losing to Halifax last year I genuinely couldn't give a toss, the weeks previous Wembley victory the reason for that I think!
I think the reason I was gutted about the other 2 final defeats was that I was gutted for the players losing at Wembley, rather than for myself as a fan, whereas the Trophy final defeat last season the players had been on the piss most of the week celebrating the play off victory and didn't really care, and subsequently played like it too.

Edit: just read back thought that and how many times can I use the word 'gutted' in one post!

The competition has failed, the EFL have egg all over their face. B-teams have been well and truly discredited. We've won that fight already so me going to the final if Luton get there won't be helping the EFL in any way. If Luton are playing another league team in that final then that would be just like any previous edition of the Trophy and I have no objection to the Trophy in principle just the way it was run this season.

Made my stance with our first game of this years comp: we were away to Walsall. Just about as close a game apart from Shrewsbury I could go to, but I boycotted. I would not have gone to the final if we had made it either. You can't un-boycott something just because your team are at Wembley. Especially if they play there three times every four seasons anyway.

Come on Mansfield then you can do another open top bus tour  In all seriousness i want out as we're still in The FA Cup and chasing a play off spot andc don't want any extra games.

Seems to be a bit of a debate on whether to start taking it seriously?

Evans appears to want to, especially given we've made a tidy profit from it to date.

It's more about fans - no-one wanted to go when it didn't matter and we were in the group stages - now we've somehow bumbled our way to the Qtr's and Wycombe having 1 (or both) eye(s) on Spurs the weekend after it could be a good chance to see where things go. Now it appears that the under 21 idea appears to have been put to bed, more are willing to give it the time of day.
