Some awful scenes of damage to the away stand, all the windows put through and toilets thrown out onto the car park.

Only the lardies could manage to lose in a no lose situation and make themselves look even more stupid!

That's not that bad a boycott, if you drew them in the fa cup, vale park would be full, glad you won, would have been not good for football losing to your u21 rivals.

Very true, in fairness had stoke not sold out and made it a bigger game than it was then sales were set to be about 1000, but our fans as a rule were never going to accept them having the home ends and most did it purely to avoid them taking our ground so to speak.

Full squad so hopefully we gain more confidence now after winning 3-0 last week and Montano getting four in 2 games will be a huge boost ahead of Morecambe.

We’ve played four U21 teams so far won them all without conceding or really getting out of gear, even when we’ve made 6 or 7 changes. Bar maybe Man City who seem to have quality it just seems pointless having them in it as any EFL side with a desire to beat an U23 side should.

Stoke fans deciding they cared about a reserve game, showing up en masse when they could have boycotted and then losing 4-0 is genuinely hilarious though. Possibly justifies the whole thing.

I think if one of them won it, the competition would end up getting scrapped in the near future.

Top #bantz if we had ended up going through with Ellis Chapman being partnered in central midfield by his U18 manager.

Bizarre to get as far as we did without winning a game in it.

154 Lincoln, although 52 were a group of schoolchildren and teachers from Scotland who'd randomly decided they wanted to watch a Lincoln game.

Stoke fans really are the biggest bunch of bellends going.
The ones I work with do my fucking fruit in.
Send them the bill for wrecking your away end.

We will send them the repair bill but the Coates family will drag their feet paying it despite making a fortune from gullible gamblers. Classless bastards.

Mixed feelings about tonight. The positive was that we played really well after making 8/9 changes and playing a 90% full strength Mansfield side. We should have scored at least another two one on one and pen both missed before Dawson stupidly got sent off I can’t wait until we get rid of him. It was good to get a win even in this competition after our loss on Sunday. The Negative is we are still in this competition :dis: Only 27 Bury fans in a crowd of just over 1k so that’s a positive. Just hope we put the same performance in when we play Mansfield in a few weeks in the league.

Love after our third goal a lardy lobs a bottle of larger that hits Hannant so he picks it up and dances in front of them whilst necking it!

Having seen some of the screen shots of the game etc tonight, it really did come down to local rivalry worth more than the competition. Players giving it large to the Stoke fans after scoring- they don't do that every game!!

Doesn't change anyone's views on the competition overall but getting almost 4,000 Vale fans at the game and to sink Stoke U21 team...I think that's still a bigger hit locally than any other game you could have had tonight.

4-0 is a great result

I’d be surprised if the police allow that many Stoke fans the next time you play each other after fighting with the police and vale and destroying toilets and seats.

Glad you beat them lot, only downside is this competition will have benefited from it.

Happy to see all these U21 teams progressing. Perhaps one of the best ways to get clubs to vote against the format is having their chances at Wembley and prize money snatched away by the PL reserve teams.

Also hilarious to see the Stokies embarrass themselves on and off the pitch. You can those that caused the trouble weren't even out of nappies the last time these 2 played each other.

You say that but from many reports the ones causing trouble were in their 40s and 50s bizarrely!

I’m not bothered about the result but I am concerned about the performance which was apperantly abysmal with a pretty strong 11.

Don’t follow this in the league!

I don"t often comment on non-Exeter stuff, but loving Vale stuffing the so called big team up there, and laughing my arse off that 4,000 Stoke fans were in attendance to witness it. Alan Ball managed us (and we loved him) for a while, not long after having a bad spell at Stoke, and those knobheads went well beyond normal level banter / abuse towards Alan (they were in our division in those days), and I have despised that lot ever since

Great attendance at Vale Park.

I hear reports of the inevitable ugly scenes. I blame the naughty forty’s offspring

Incredible to see the holders, the team that by definition took it the most seriously last year, trying to banter their way out of it today. Great stuff.

Had a look at your line up to see how bantz it was, and saw AKINOLA was on the bench!!! Luke Imp must have spaffed himself...........

.......................And then realised it was the wrong one...:ffs:.......lol

Hopefully you've the good performance out of the way - sounds like we were fairly beaten last night, and actually quite happy about that

I’ve always said Vales have an above average **** element to their support. But from my experiences Sjokes is even bigger. They would cause carnage every time they came to Crewe. I dislike Vale, but Stoke take it too a different level. I for one was glad to see Vale win.

So do these new rules capping loan players going out from big clubs to 6 or 7 make B teams more likely in the future?

One of the Lardies arrested was 61, take his bus pass off him.

One lardie took a flare to the ground and it accidentally lit in his pocket... cue now has scorched bollocks.

The gift that keeps on giving.
