How has Young been for you guys at Wrexham? Was a big fan of him when he was here, interested to see how he's got on outside of Devon (only played for Plymouth before us).

I think most of our fans rate him, he's had a good season overall but was injured a few times and got stupidly sent off in a game that ended our FA Cup run. Won our goal of the season for his screamer against Dagenham. We need to sign a proper defensive midfielder alongside him so he can get forward more, he only scored 3 goals this season which is poor considering how well he strikes the ball from outside the box. I expect he'll be first choice again next season.

i remember when Louis Dodds was a thing.... what happened to him??
I'm not sure to be honest. Was really chuffed when we signed him, he's always done well against us. Maybe he was just a perfect fit at Vale and doesn't work anywhere else. Whenever he got a game for us he was just anonymous

Luke Young
Akil Wright
Mike Fondop
Jason Oswell
Bobby Grant (Player Exercised Option)

Players who have been offered new contracts:

James Jennings
Mark Carrington
Luke Summerfield
Doug Tharme
Kieran Kennedy

Players who have been offered and already accepted a new deal:
Paul Rutherford

Players released:
Kevin Roberts
Chris Holroyd
Nicky Deverdics
Luke Simpson
Kemy Augustein

The following players who were on loan have returned to parent clubs:
Stuart Beavon
Brad Walker
Anthony Spyrou
Cole Stockton
Jermain McGlashan

Invited back for pre-season training:
Leo Smith

No surprises really. If we can get Lainton to agree a deal that'll be big for us, wouldn't swap him for any keeper down here apart from Doug Lindberg. I expect all of the others to re-sign, though Summerfield might go elsewhere if he gets a 2 year offer as I expect we've offered a year to all those apart from Lainton.

Roberts is basically finished, National North part-time level now I would say. Holroyd will pick up a Barrow/Halifax level club I reckon, but he is nowhere near the player at Macc or us last season. Deverdics will be lucky to get any club.

Has Kevin Roberts been that bad for you? He was great whilst with us and we were gutted to lose him. I like both of our current right backs but Duckworth is out of contract and tried to get a football league club last season before eventually staying. Very similar style of players so would have thought Roberts would be a good replacement should Duckworth leave this time around

He's solid enough but never gets past the halfway line and just slows everything down. Hopefully we are looking to be a bit more expansive and so he doesn't really have a place in our team. I think he'd be a decent signing for a mid table side still.

Our manager doesn't like our full backs getting forward so he'd suit us to the ground. I'd say there's a very good chance Roberts will end up back with us should Duckworth leave

Kevin Roberts is shite, Carrington is far better in that role but I reckon we'll sign a new RB. Hopefully we don't spunk our money on one though.

Happy to see the back of Holroyd and Augustien appears to have a poor attitude. It just never worked for Deverdics here.

Annoyed to see Grant is staying on, as he won't be on a small wage either. Looks as though Barrow has screwed us over by including a clause that would allow him to stay should he play enough games, or allowed him to just trigger an extension if he likes it here.

If Rutherford is back in the starting lineup I'll be very disappointed.

Rest I'm fine with.

Good player but he's not running games like he did at Torquay. During our run in, he's been the standout in midfield and I'm glad he's already signed up for another season.

Nathan Clarke has just signed a new 1 year deal with us. Fantastic piece of business. Seem to remember a Grimsby fan saying he was awful but was probably our player of the season.

Interesting - I watched the play-off game vs. Eastleigh and thought it was strange how deep he was playing. But yeah, 100% agree with needing someone to do the defensive work in midfield to allow him to roam and get forward. Think it's nailed on he scores a longshot against us.

All of our first team regulars except Sendles-White signed new contracts in the first couple of months of the year, so we have this lot signed up for next season:

GK: Shaun MacDonald

LB: Liam Davis
RB: Ben Wynter
CB: Kyle Cameron
CB: Jean-Yves Koue Niate

CM: Asa Hall
RW: Kalvin Lumbombo-Kalala
LW: Ryan Dickson (mainly a sub last season)

ST: Jamie Reid
ST: Ruairi Keating (Ronan's nephew believe it or not)
ST: Olaf Koszela (just turned 17 and only started 1 game)

All the fringe players have left so we have a fair bit of work to do this summer.

Add Jacob Blyth to our released list. He was offered something, but probably reduced terms.
If anyone needs a lumbering target man who doesn't score goals and can't manage a month without getting injured, he's right up your alley. Can see him going somewhere like South Shields.

How was Asa Hall for you? I always thought he was decent enough for us, but once the most vocal 'fans' turned against him, he had no chance. Was captain and didn't shout enough for some people.

Absolutely vital for us last season, we had a very young team (especially in midfield) and he held it all together. Was our captain as well but we didn't really need a shouter, more someone who kept calm and led by example.

Doesn't do anything flashy but you could tell how important he was when he wasn't there as we were much poorer whenever he missed a game.

Pretty much echoes my thoughts on his time with us. There'll be Barrow fans who'll tell you he was dreadful, but a lot of our fans are idiots.

I thought Keating would've got been picked up by an NL Club after you got relegated.

He was average at best for us, to be fair he would often be played at left back by our thick as pig shit manager Harrison which isn't his position, would have a decent game every half dozen.

Anyone else still not released theirs yet? Other than those with games still to play.

Our season ended three months ago and we still haven't poked it out.

he was very good at Dover - but Wrexham have an uncanny knack of turning great players into shit players

yeah, we never played him in his favoured left wing position and ruined him

I think he'd be a good signing for most teams in this division, it just didn't work for him here. He'd go for weeks without playing and was then expected to earn his place during a 10 minute cameo.

Him leaving was best for both parties.

We’ve only released (ahem) a partial list so far.

Very pleased with the news that Sam Minihan has signed a contract extension with us.

A fantastic workhorse of a full back who can get up and down the line for 90 mins no problem. Absolutely love the guy!

Maidenhead don't do released/retained lists, players who sign new contracts are announced ad hoc and anyone who goes elsewhere is announced when they sign for a new club.

We haven't announced ours yet, however being without a manager and with an owner who wants to sell and with no money in the coffers we'll more than likely release everyone who isn't contracted for next season.

• Angelo Balanta
• Elliot Bonds
• Kenny Clark
• Liam Gordon
• Elliot Justham
• Chike Kandi
• Alexander McQueen
• Harry Phipps
• Conor Wilkinson
New deals have been offered to:
• Ollie Harfield
• Matt Robinson
The following players are out of contract with the club:
• Tomi Adeloye
• Liam Bellamy
• James Blanchfield
• Alex Davey
• Gavin Hoyte
• Lewis Moore
• Jack Munns
• Ben Nunn
• Luke Pennell
• Lamar Reynolds
• Nathan Smith
On behalf of the Football Club, we would like to thank all of the departing players and wish them the very best in the next stage of their playing careers.
Four loanees have returned to their parent clubs:
• Ben Goodliffe
• Doug Loft
• Manny Onariase

We would like to thank the departing loanees for their contributions this season.

So we’ve got 11 to go forward with, Taylor wants 20-22 man squad full of quality. Decent spine to start the ball rolling.

Have you signed Wilkinson permanently from the Gills? Must’ve missed that one. Was hoping he’d head out way.

Wilkinson signed permanently back in late January, if we keep him we should make play offs. I’ve heard he might be going your way as you’ve matched the small £40k buy out clause in his contract, be stupid if we do let him go.
