Daggers fans. Jack Connors any good?
I've hardly seen us play over the last year or so but he looked quite good when he broke through. Lost his way over the last two seasons apparently but should be plenty good enough for that level.

We were in need of a left back after Joe Howe was released and Bryan Van Den Bogart moved back home. Only 21 and looks to have had a decent amount of games for you and a few for ROI U21s, so not too bad on paper.

We've signed Blake Davies, Wales under 19 striker, on his first professional contract after he got released from the Gas.

With him, Olly Mehew, Mohamed Chemlal, Jon Moran, Louis McGrory and Joe Stokes plus possibly the 2 Bishops Cleeve lads if they impress in pre season we seem to be starting what looks like an under 21 development squad to cover our first team. Lots of potential amongst that lot with some good coaching.

So we've signed Wayne Thomas who played alongside John Eustace at Stoke and under Gardiner at Worcester. I see he played for Torquay what's your opinion on him?

He came through the youth system here and left Torquay in about 2000, so our opinions may not be overly helpful. He was very nice when I met him on a stadium tour with my primary school but I honestly thought he retired from any competitive level about five years ago! Pleased to see he's still at a good level as he was my favourite player back then, albeit 16 odd years ago.

Players from Ireland always seem to do well in the UK. Can think of loads who have come over and done brilliantly.

Last couple we had were Gary Dicker and Leon McSweeney and they were both cracking players.

Gareth McAuley was ours. He was late into the FT game at 23 when he came over here. Ended up losing him on a free to Leicester and he's been in the PL the last 4 or 5 years at WBA. Playing in the Euro's at the minute!

Jeff Hughes was another one who did well and we sold on to Palace.

Gareth McAuey had a trial with us before he signed for you. Then manager Sammy McIlroy deemed him not good enough! Then went and sign Lee (Night)Mair from somewhere in Scotland and he was atrocious!

True story!

Eastleigh Sign French Striker Mikael Mandron

Mandron Pens Deal
Eastleigh Football Club can today confirm the signing of exciting young prospect, Mikael Mandron.

The 21-year-old, 6ft 3 inch striker joins the Spitfires on a 2-year deal after his release from Premier League side Sunderland.

Mandron, born in France, joined Sunderland in 2011 as a 16-year-old. He was an ever present for the U21 set up and after impressing, went on to make three appearances for the first team.

Manager Chris Todd said, “I’m absolutely delighted to capture Mikael. He is another young talent, who has unbelievable potential and I’m positive he will become a firm favourite with the fans.”

Have seen Mandron play, he was in the same U21 side that Duncan Watmore (ex Alty) was in and he looked very promising.
Bit surprised he hasnt made the grade at Sunderland (Watmore has I'm pleased to say and is a regular Premier League player now.
So, unless something has really gone wrong with the lad, I suspect he may be an excellent signing, he has obviously seen the vision :£

Yeah, KA was pissing himself at the time. Couldn't believe you didn't want him/agree terms.

He's about 15 years too young for you lot then.

Eastleigh have flown a striker in from France this morning to sign his contract.
Landed at Southampton airport at 10.30am & needs to get back to France later today as he's busy in some football tournament or something..

Are you really owning up to taking the tournament comment seriously....
We appear to be signing lots of early 20yr old types, which bodes well, at least they can push Constable & the old boys about in their wheelchairs at training..

Yes. No jokes are allowed on this forum, so I take everything at face value.

Unless you can quickly find a tournament for him to play in, I would suggest a ban is on it's way for you.

He was kept pretty quiet by Demetriou and Gowling when we played Sunderland in the FA Cup a few years back. Mind you, Giaccherini was in Lee Vaughan's back pocket that day and now he's scoring at the Euros while Vaughan got released by Cheltenham.

I'm not actually sure what you can get banned for on here.

Conner Robinson signs for NFU.

No surprise really because Housham's had him before and has always spoken highly of him.

Jokes are allowed on here, but you have to put lolz or a smiley face afterwards in order to explain to the slower-witted that it's not meant to be taken seriously.
