Southport will suit him to the ground. Near home and guaranteed a starting place from his mate bish

I think he's pretty much shot as a player now, comes from him playing at a very high intensity 50 games a season for 5 years straight for us.

Southport have signed Neil Ashton from us after his contract was cancelled by mutual consent.
If Wrexham fans thought he'd had his best days when he departed them, he can only have become unfitter after six months on the bench. A waste of what I imagine was a decent wage, he looked slow and not all that useful before getting injured before Christmas, never to be seen again.

With him and Grimes now added to the Southport squad, they must surely be shaping up for another relegation battle.
still got a good footballing brain, but otherwise agree with everything - it's easy to see that he was a very good player, but lack of pace is the issue now

Loved Ashy at Wrexham but we got rid of him at the right time.

He may do well at Southport though if he can stay fit, vastly experienced and a good organiser.

As for Heslop, he did well for us - but he never stays anywhere for long. Might be a good fit at his home town club though and could be a very good signing for York.

He was on the end of a nasty tackle at our place though, can't remember who tackled him (Vidal?), but I remember seeing his blood soaked sock and him being stretchered off.

Anthony Straker has re-joined Aldershot.
hope he does better for you than he did here,on big money here and we paid his contract up early, never seen a more lazy player in my life, was one of main reason we lost league status, had 5 players on big money and long contracts who was only interested in the money, one of my most hated player to wear the shirt

We've signed Taylor Miles on a one-year deal. 20 year old midfielder, played for the Cowleys at Concord and Braintree.

Supposed to be a second signing tomorrow and a third at some stage this week.

Any comments from Braintree fans on what he is like? I see he didn't play much last season but he has a decent midfield scoring record from Concord and Braintree. (36) 13 goals.

Neill Byrne has signed up for a second season with Macc. Slightly surprised he's stayed as he'll be back up to McCombe and Pilkington but good to have some depth in that position. Certainly not a bad player and was our highest scoring defender last year

Seem to be signing a lot of young up and coming players... Anyone know of him?

Big Blaine!

I honestly think that is a decent signing. But then again I thought that about Hunt.

Sean McGinty has signed for Torquay.

Centre back who can cover left back and was at Aldershot last season. Any opinions on him?

Yeah, it was Vidal and it was a pretty shocking challenge. I think we were on top at that point but ended up getting destroyed. It pretty much finished his season, but he had a couple of ineffective games when our regular left-back was suspended.

He played at left back for us. His initial loan spell at the end of the 14/15 season was excellent, and he was our captain last season but didn't have a very good season, although on his day he could be a very good player at this level.

Rhys Browne has joined Grimsby from us, shame as he had a lot of potential and was hoping we would keep him (although he drifted out of games sometimes as most wingers seem to do at this level)

I'll echo EnglishRed on this: I actually think he'll be a good signing for Chester. He's a much better player than he was when he arrived at Wrexham, even if he makes the odd gaff. I actually thought he had a couple of belting games towards the end of last season, and he's still only 24. At 8' 9" tall, he's also handy for corners, free kicks and changing bulbs in the Deva Stadium's floodlights.

Deserves a chance a league or two above, thought he'd be off this summer if we didn't get promotion. I reckon he needs a stopper-type next to him, but at our level he was a class apart the last two or three seasons. Wish him well.

Sounds better than what I was initially expecting - didn't realise he was your captain!

Sean McGinty was utter shite this season, one of our worst players in 15/16 which is a shame because during his loan spell in 14/15 he was surreal. Not really the leader we hoped him to be. He's more a LB then CB

Nice one .........our floodlights aren't as big as yours.

Is the drinking just a wind-up?

I think we've just about got a starting XI now.

Blaine Hudson was present on both occasions other Wrexham players fouled up under the influence, he was out with James Gray the night before he got caught 3 times over the limit coming in to training and was out with Wes York when he kicked off with the bouncers at cruise

Plus take a look at some of his Twitter pics. You can't fault the lad he is committed to the cause and will probably do all right for you but he definitely has the non league player attitude

Well he's not James Gray standard..

I really hope he does knuckle down more though and realise how much potential he has and doesn't throw it all away, like Kevin Thornton did :ffs:

Nice to see us raiding the worst team in the league last season. Judging by his career I think we can file that Bakare as a very poor man's J-Lo.
