Well I suppose Macclesfield is an EDL hotbed, so Flinders should fit in well there.

I'm not convinced they are, but I would say our position doesn't urgently require us to bring another stopper in, when we're crying out for more strength up front.
We have put a clause in to contract,HE MUST PLAY AGAINST YORK

We have fans groups meet the Board every couple of months and last Thursday they had one.

Despite being U24, we didn't have to pay any compensation for Taylor Miles or Alex Woodyard. There was talk that a few of their players were on non-contract terms last season but I'm not sure how true that was and whether those two were part of that. Anyway, Woodyard on a free...

Also, Margetts was around £50k with add-ons, which might take it into 6-figures depending on his and Scunthorpe's performance.

This ends the Bradley to Lincoln rumour

http://www.afcfylde.co.uk/breaking-news-bradley-signs-record-fee/

"The Coasters beat off competition from Lincoln City, Kidderminster Harriers and Halifax Town for the 25-year-old forward, who joins the club on a three-year deal for a five figure sum."

Doubt we'd have come close to Lincoln or Fylde's fee.

Apparently lincon didnt come close to our offer. The only way we were going to get him over the league above.

We'd never have offered him a 3 year deal either.

I can only recall us giving a 3 year deal out once and that was Alan Marriott, probably around 2003-2005.

I wonder if he'll cry home again a week later like he did with us in the summer of 2014?

Before the collapse of ITV digital we used hand out 3 year deals, Lee Thorpe and Tony Battersby spring to mind but I think both were paid part way through or their deals transferred to other clubs.
2 years is the maximum now, Alan Power is on 3rd.... Yay....

On a two month loan we have just signed Eastleigh CH Ayo Oblileye. We desperately need some numbers in our squad, and that includes central defenders, but have never heard of the lad, and understand he hasn't featured in any games this year. Is that because he's been injured or is he crap. His CV suggests he can't be bad?

He was ok for us, I think. Probably looked better than he was in his first loan with Doe next to him. Probably a decent signing for anyone in this league.

Ayo looked good pre-season, but then we signed Johnson & Cresswell and had already signed Dugdale and Essam.
We've kept Dugdale and back up but Essam went on loan to Woking and now Ayo to Dover.
He's a unit thats for sure, might be a bit clumsy but decent enouh and scores goals too.

Eastleigh have signed 41 yr old Jamie Cureton from Farnborough - You're probably all as amazed as we are..

We also signed a keeper from AFC Wimbledon yesterday, i've already forgotten his name.

Edit: The keeper is Ryan Clarke, who has the requisite Oxford Utd and Northampton Town background....i see he also played for Kiddy & FGR, so some on here may have an opinion on him?

It was 12 years ago and Clarke only played 6 times so I don't remember him really.

Played for us under Gary Owers during the 05-06 season, in our last season at The Lawn. We were shit so he was kept busy. Good shot stopper, kicking a bit dodgy at times but might have improved during the last decade.

That's exactly what is being said on our forum. We have a few youngsters who have been loaned out to Conf South clubs, one of them a striker who we were trying to turn into a left back and they are reportedly doing well, why not give them a chance.

Sounds exactly the same as Ross Flitney then (our current no.1). We have a young Arsenal keeper on loan all year too, who looks shaky at best, so assume he will be sent back to the Gunners now & Ross & Ryan will fight it out for the starting spot.

Jamie will get you goals -- Does'nt matter how old he is . Only problem probably cannot last 90 mins but will defo be value for money. He was great for Rovers although a little lazy.
Ryan ( Clarke ) was a teammate of Jamies back then but I never really rated him and he didn't last long. Gashead through & through though.
What are Mark Childs ( GK ) & Ollie Griggs ( Mid ) like ? Just gone on loan to Bridgy Town .

Mark Childs looks very decent for a young keeper & has a huge kick on him, hits the opposition penalty area consistently when i have seen him play for our reserves.
I really like the look of Ollie Griggs, a ball playing midfielder who pops up in the box to get on the end of moves aswell.
Neither of these loan moves have even been announced our end, so that was a surprise to hear that.

Not sure how far down non-league you comment on, but Dean Cox has been loaned out from us to Burgess Hill (Ryman League) until he can play for us in January.

that's what the article says

He turned down a contract at Borussia Dortmund II which isn't the same thing. They play in the fourth tier which is like league2/ National League/National North level all rolled into one. Quite a few of their signings have got nothing to do with the first team, cos they need players for that level as well as their own youngsters. Might as well stay over here rather then playing at basically the same level over there.
