Really good signing that. We may have 3 wingers but it adds a different quality and one that I think will be better than Fenelon. Couple more quality signings like that please Waddock.

Is he any good? Surprised we've gone for him considering we've already got Mensah Kanu and Fenelon.
tbh i was expecting him to appear somewhere like Woking. A midtable NL club is probably his level, capable of the magical, and reasonably consistent, but not really prolific enough for a top end club. I'd have been happy if he'd signed on for us again, but at the same time I'm sure we can find a solid replacement. Presumably this is a sign that you're GOING FOR IT and you're building a deep squad to maintain a promotion bid even if you go deep in all the cups.

From a relatively neutral standpoint, I always rated Taylor as one of only a few Stones players I could see making it as a league player. Time will tell whether or not that's proven the case!

We've re-signed Magnus. I still haven't really made my mind up if I liked him or not.

Glad to see hes returning, in my opinion our best centre half.
He's a major improvement over the defensive liabilities that were Coyle & Acheampong.....still never understood why Jay played Coyle so much when it was painfully obvious he wasn't good enough for this level.

Well that's a full starting XI sorted now:

Worgan
Twumasi Lokko Magnus Anderson
Lewis Prestedge
Paxman
Pigott DSY Loza

a few more signings to bolster the depth of the squad and I see us at least solidifying our place in the division, because that team looks like it can go places.

I thought he was a cracking player - decent skill, pacy, ok delivery and a really good attitude and work-rate. I think he played everywhere except centre half or in goal for us at some point and always put a shift in.
We had a great chant for him to the tune of Gold by Spandau Ballet.

I think that team finishes a similar place as last season, just without the relegation scrap. Needs more to get top half.

Brett Williams leaves Torquay.

He left after the season ended as he wasn't offered a new deal, he just made a 'goodbye' tweet today and reveal that it was for financial reasons, which most people assumed was the case anyway. Possibly attitude has held him back because he can be devastating when on form, but he's never managed to get a big move and was in and out of the side here. Without his burst of form in March and April (that kept us up almost single handedly) he would have been judged a flop based on his August to February form.

Dan Sparkes has joined Dagenham on a 2 year deal. Would have loved to have kept him, but he's so likeable you can't begrudge him a better paid and longer deal much closer to home. Proven at this level and a brilliant attitude, so as secure a signing as you can make.

tbh I'd be more than happy with that, make sure we're not worrying about what's below before looking up.

He was fine to be honest, he's a fit guy. He's not going to cover every blade of grass but he will dictate the pace of the game, he is such a calming influence in the middle. Excellent vision and passing also, he's not the Ginger Pirlo for nothing. Won't ever back out of a 50/50 either and is actually a little prone to throwing both feet. All in all it's a brilliant signing for you and will definitely be worth the 2 years, a lot of us wanted him to stay, myself included.
Fantastic! I remember him dictating the game whenever you played against us in the conference, most notably the 7-0 at Blundell Park. Be amazing to actually see him do the same for us!

Still expecting us to sign a couple of wingers, 1 or 2 defenders and maybe another forward.

Needs depth too. Not convinced that's a forward line full of goals either!

A fit Magnus at this level is a very good player. Looks awkward as fuck, a bit like Mamadou Sakho but cleans up.

Not sure how true it is, but Taylor said he rejected more money from other clubs (including an FL offer), but signed for us as Waddock will be good for his development

I suppose AFC Fylde were the first of many clubs that will rise up the pyramid from really humble beginnings. I can see how strong the North West Counties league is becoming. It used to run with 18 clubs, but it's been 22 last couple of years and all the really weak teams are getting relegated out. New club City of Liverpool FC were getting crowds of 4, 5, and 600. Whitchurch Alport FC, near me, are playing at their highest ever level and averaged nearly 250 last season and just missed out on promotion in the play-offs.

Shaun Okojie signs. 40 goals for Corinthian Casuals last season. Looks like a powerhouse, I hope he can step up to this level and replicate that form.
