Didn't see the Turnbull move coming.

I thought he had done ok at Barrow last season.

I didn't see it coming either - not been hinted at at all.
Not too fussed, to be honest. I thought he was crap for the first half of the season, and improved towards the end, but didn't really add a great deal overall.
He's a good set-piece taker, but no great loss. Let's just hope we replace him!

Sounds like you got the slightly better Turnbull than us, but not the Macc one!

Happy with that, it might well mean Luke George is off and Turnbull is without question a better player. Also, probably LESS injury prone!

2 decent signings for them lot up the road this week to be fair . Buzzing Manny is back here. Jennings Manny and Pearson infront of Dunn looks solid. Would like a RB but Carrington is ok. Need some forwards!!

Turnbull's biggest problem is that he IS injury prone!

Yeah, I've heard but actually said the above knowing that!! Luke George has made 47 appearances in two years for us and is just always injured. Turnbull it appears has made 70 appearances in that time.

Turnbull is a good signing for Chester, always rated him. What with this and breaking the bank for Hannah it sounds suspiciously like they're Going For It™ to me.

With Wedgebury in front of the. We should be solid at least. Looking forward to seeing what strikers come in now.

We have confirmed the signing of striker Brody Robertson from Cleethorpes Town

Big step up for the lad. Here's hoping he can establish himself at Conference North level. Will be keeping an eye on Aflreton next season with the McDermott/Disley link now. Good luck, the Ginger Pirlo should be a class above at that level.

Also to be fair to Turnbull midfielders in a Paul Cox side have to spend all game watching the ball being hoofed over their heads
He was the worst culprit (well, second after Diarra) for just turning and aimlessly booting it upfield.
Alex Ray Harvey on the other hand, he played a similar role in the side and was a stand-out performer.

Chester forum thinks they've got the non-league Kante, Barrow forum says "not arsed". Exactly like what it was when we signed him from Macc and they didn't seem too bothered he'd gone.

If he'd been fully fit during the season before he left us we'd all have been very arsed. The year prior to that I think he may have been voted into the team of the year on here due to his form. Looks like his dodgy back is getting him down now. There'll be no questioning his attitude or work rate at Chester, just whether his body will hold up over a full season now.

No, there's no questioning his effort. But I remember reading all the Macc comments last summer saying they were glad he was off the wage bill and that you had two better midfielders already. That's pretty much the Barrow feeling 12 months on.

Yes. He comes with a very impressive scoring record and I have heard very good things about him. Hopefully he can step up.

We have signed Jared Hodgkiss on a two year deal. Scott Wilson, formerly of Eastleigh has signed a1 year deal and Pilkington and Fitz have signed new deals.

So, everybody happy with 5-a-side, rush-back keepers in the National League next season yea?
